Awesome Multiplayer Unit Names?

With the ability to now change the names of your veteran units, what names have you seen which have caught your eye?

I thought i was clever naming my first vetran unit Yari AWESOMEgaru, but it got old very quick

Also with the ability to change the color scheme, any good combinations youve seen?

I purposely mis-spelled the names on my yari, so that my enemy would think I have a brain injury and use a simple strategy.

Hehehe, i went boring, but appealing to me. My veteran units are named 1st Welsh ......, 2nd Welsh........ and so on, with the ........ being where the type of unit it is, e.g 1st Welsh Samurai, 2nd Welsh Swordsmen etc.

I also changed there uniforms to Green, White and Red, the colours of the Welsh flag!

(just tryin to add a bit of the ole leek and daffodil into medieval Japan )

How hard is it to get a unit up to the veteran status by the way? I guess it depends on the type of unit but still.

I have a yari ash named F U UP ASH,he beats katana in spear wall and is damn tough with the right added retainers,just got that stand firm ability for him as well,its funny people charge him for a easy breake through and get multiple units boged down on his spear wall.

Wouldn't it be smarter to rename your katana troops to yari and vice versa so the enemy charges the wrong units?

I've seen someone with a British themed army. His Bow Ashigaru veterans were named "British Longbowmen"

I usually go with unecessarily long but honorful titles! Here are some real example

No, because in brackets after your custom name is the actual unit name, so it wouldnt work only against the stupidest of the stupid!

Ah that's a shame, I suppose that's like how the unit class appears withing "()" in RTW? Or is it "New Name" + "Real Name" + "Unit Class" in S2TW? (would be terribly long unit names )

Anyway RTW MP is superior to any MP S2TW could ever achieve so I stick with that

And shogun1/medieval1/Barbarian invasion is superior to rome in every way. The balance in shogun 2 is superior to rome, just CA cant code at all and give a game full of bugs which makes it almost unplayable.

hate to say it but s2tw mp when bug free will beat RTW MP every which way from sunday! Its pretty close now, but when them bugs be fixed, it will be THE mp experience for the TW fan.

I fought some guy earlier, he had a Veteran Yari Ashigaru unit called Mr Cuddles, and he had a Veteran Light Cav unit called Mobile Hugs!

Im still sticking with me Welsh army, it now includes No Dachi, Naganate and Katana Samurai as well as Yari Cav and a Fire Projecting Mangonel!

I have a few Ashigaru, all named peasants: the Dirty Peasants, the Stinky Peasants, the Angry Peasants etc
Two Yari Samurai, the Horse-eaters and the Pike-twirlers.
Two Light Cav. I don't know how they managed to become veterans, they rout in every battle. So i named them the Mounted Cowards and the Wussies on Horseback.
