I share my italian friend here's appreciation for cheese, wines and the french in general. They are surrender monkeys for sure, but apart from that, zey are most amiable, non?

Seriously, while I too have observed on more than one occasion racist and derogatory posts here on the TWC (and reported them where necessary) we must make a clear distinction between parody and racism. Thus far I don't think at any point has the proverbial parody stereotyping crossed the line into fully fledged racism or xenophobia. Perhaps it translates really badly, but I can think of a host of worse things to say than "cheese eating surrender monkeys". I've had French friends call me worse on my English side, and English friends call me even worse on my Brazilian side.

I also think context here is key. There is a clear difference between making a joke (among friends) and randomly insulting someone, which has not happened here. The reason I didn't take any of the episodes briefly mentioned above to heart is because A) I knew they were jokes and B) I knew they were my friends. On a day to day basis, I was treated with dignity and respect (for the most part) and I think that is what matters. So let us not try to blow things out of proportion here. Let us settle this as friends, which is what we are, and not through the use of sarcasm, irony or animosity, all of which I hope we are above.

Learned how to script Romano-British and other horde factions into the game today. Hope to have the slavs scripted properly by tomorrow, along with Walls, reduced WRE unit tree, and etc. Also will script the Iron and Wheat requiremtns like in the other IB mods.
