How does inspire work?

When is it best to use inspire?

Does it increase moral, so you use it a little into battle when they are about to break?

Or does it keep their moral steady, so you use it at the start of battles?

I believe it increases one units moral heavily. At least, that's how I used it during battle. Click, right click, watch the little meter go alll the way up.

If you mouse over the inspire button in the battle interface, it tells you what it does. I think it's "boosts a unit's morale and melee" if I remember correctly.

I'm fairly certain it increases morale, charge bonus and accuracy.
