Does it work better now? Do they enter correctly and don't take 3 hours to join the fight?

Anybody seen Richie? -Detective Gino Felino.
They show up directly behind the direction of where you deploy. So if you really need the backup move to the best defendable location near the rear of the map and within a few seconds voila reinforcements have arrived.
dunno, this stack showed up 10 minutes later.
That may be because the first attack was by a full stack and needed to have some retreats before the reinforcements could come in
but can I CHOOSE before the battle if reinforcements coming in (like in MTW2), or is it the same crap like in ETW and NTW, where any army (even in citites) near to my attacking army would reinforce?
never understood why they changed the system from MTW2.
thanks for your answers.
NO GODS -NO MASTERS
just free minds
my brown power ass in your white power face.
Another question:
Do they come in under AI control as a full stack or reinforcing losses in yor own stack?
They reinforce your own stack, you can't put them under AI control sadly, which can mean your 3 full stacks can mean nothing against 1 stack in a decent defensive position.
Pfff, really dissapointed to hear that Shogun 2 has NTW,ETW crappy reinforcement system, which sux...
was a shame to hear, was hoping for AI controlled reinforcements.
Having 4 stacks attack your one stack is rarely a problem, as the reinforcements will drip in one unit at a time and can easily be dealt with
it would only be if the four stacks entered the battlefield against your one would there be a challenge

I think the reason for the reinforcement system being implimented the way it has is due to the advantages the player could have against the AI if all stacks fought simultaneously. The game would have much less strategy than now, and would end up being little more than a rush to get the largest army.
They might be ok for the human, but I've experienced AI reinforcements sitting idle outside castle walls, or worse still, sitting idle at the edge of the map. Definitely needs fixed but what worries me is this 'bug' has been around since Medieval 2 Total War.
Only current ways round this are:
1. To bait them by leaving your fort/castle.
2. To run down the timer (note: don't set the battle timer to 60 min or indefinite!!)
Yeah, I've fought 2 castle siege battles. The first one had the AI attack on three flanks with small forces. But a larger force was running back and forth at the edge of the map for the entire time. I didn't have enough time to wait them out, so I just shut off the game. I agree. This type of bug, particularly as it pertains to sieges, has been around since at least M2TW.
