Thread: Victoria II sale

    Default Victoria II sale

Not sure if you guys knew as this one almost slipped by me...

Victoria II currently 60% off on steam for £10 or the "complete collection" for £12 which includes all the DLC and the old Vic.

Thinking about buying... how does this compare to EU: Rome?

I've noticed it's also £10 on Gamersgate aswell if you prefer not being tied to Steam.

I love Victoria 2. It does however need a lot of rebalancing and such (and frankly the Beta Patch has made some things, like Population Growth worse), but it's a solid game if you can get past the issues. I can't comment how it compares to Rome, as i've never gotten into that game, but it's a world away from EU3.

^ I got it from gamersgate.

Still on the learning curve though, despite some relative, morale-boosting success with France.

Patches making things worse seems to be a common theme with Paradox.

Anyway, $12 still seems more than I'd want to spend, seeing as how I've still never played most of their other games I've bought, including Vicky which was the first game I got from them. Besides, is it any good? How's it compare to Vic-Revolution?

I can honestly say it's much more accessible than vicky 1 at least, which remains the only game I've ever given up trying to learn how to play.
