I am looking for Asian warrior roleplaying abilities?

Hello there.

I am creating a setting for a roleplaying game which will have warrior classes based upon history.

But I don't know anything about the Chinese warriors and Samurais from pre-gunpowder history.

So I am looking for some info from historical and mythological sources which could tell of some interesting abilities.

For an example about the Europa barbarorum mod for Rome total war then I could do the following:

Barbarian abilities:

Use woad and coals to paint themselves so they would frighten enemy infantry.

They could ingest special herbs which made them not sense pain and they fought naked.

Vikings could go berserk and become immune to normal fire and metal weapons, along with attacking anything in frenzy (huge offensive boost).

Barbarian had a devastating charge with melee weapons which did more damage with the first attacks.

Viking sagas tell that some could shapechange into bear or wolf.


So you get the drift what kind of abilities I am looking for in regard to Asian warriors.
