Because the devs cheated us and lied. We're all pissed.
Anti-Aliasing is apart of every pipe line, not just DX11. lol

Anti-aliasing is the only issue? Oh holy I am so buying this game.
Apologize please if the answer stands in an other thread..
Believe me, i read the Forum up&down - all i know ist that DX10 or DX11 has been patched in a few days, but i have WindowsXP with a ATI5850
..with XP i dont need DX10 or DX11, but i will also AA for DX9.
Have anyone Infos that came also an AA-Patch for DX9?
This will maybe work (doesn't work in the demo tho) but maybe in the full game.
1. Hit Start>Run>%appdata%
2. Go to The Creative Assembly/Shogun2/scripts
3. Open preferences.script. You might want to back it up before editing - I did.
4. Find the line: "write_preferences_at_exit true;" and edit it to "write_preferences_at_exit false;" (The line is at the top)
5. Find this:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
6.
Edit the "0" to "8x" or "8" (I actually don't know if it is "8x" or "8".)
Close and save. I hope it works..

I mean, I'm as reasonable as I can be, but if I know that I will never be able to use AA with a GTX280, I expect I am going to be beyond annoyed. That is bush league stuff.
If I can force it then I'm fine, but

Nothing wrong temporary hotfixes if they work. If it works in a hotfix, I'm sure it will eventually get incorporated in a patch.
I know that AMD's MLAA (Morphological AA) works, usable with 5x00-6x00 series. It kinda blurs everything though, but it smoothes things out . Using it till the patch comes out
Greetings all.
Having an ATI 4890 i enabled it (forced it actually) through the Catalyst driver. It is ok now, although a bit slow on an i7 920.
But it is pleasing to my eyes now.
What is the problem? Why we can't select the antialiasing? It's the first game that I see this happen... it's incredible.
Is there a solution?
