Anyone ordered from D2D?

just wondering, why did you buy from d2d instead of steam? Isn't the whole game built around steam right down to activation?

I've never ordered a game from D2D. I've heard too many horror stories from friends that did. Best of luck to you though

Well sir, I have incontrollable shaking and impatience. Combined with the fact that I cant get the game until 2mrro this all results in a mild case of RAEG which I cannot for the life of me suppress.

Furthermore, upon occasion I tend to shout "Kensai!!" for no apparent reason.

I bought from gamersgate, got about 20$ of in-store credit for it too.

I was hoping to circumvent's having to own Steam by doing that, as I thought it was only a one-time activation (like most of my games I download from gamersgate). I've been told that woudn't be t he case, and that I actually need to run steam. Buggers.

They did alright with the Civ 5 release - got my key nice and early. Not this time though. I saved a few dollars but I'm none too happy with the service right now. Was really hoping to get the pre-load going before leaving for work.

I ordered from D2D as well.......got 20% off, said what the hell. Wouldn't feel to bad if CA released another hack job of a game like they did with ETW. Saved some cash.
