Samurai and Ninjas.
If you need any more convincing, this game is not for you!
1. Watch Kagemusha and Ran. You will want to play this.
2. The Sengoku period in Japan was a period that had the most ruthless, backstabbing, cunning, generals of all time. The political geography of Japan is constantly changing. New technologies and new ideas come into the land as the old ways desperatly try to persevere in a time of great hardship. Men fight, die, and do anything for their lords, while those lords callously use them to further their own objectives. Battlefields see massive armies, the likes of which have never been seen, clash in engagements studied all over the world. And in this land, you will take a small, weak, clan, and turn them into the most powerful in the land, leaving an impact that will last the rest of time. This is Total war.
3. The total war series returns from the gimmicks and millions of differient units to what it does best: pure, sweet, tactics. The cunning battle AI is leagues above every other game in the series, while the campaign AI can actually BEAT YOU. If you find it too boring of a challenge, go online into a persestient world where you can forge your own personalized army to battle with other generals,, pitting your wits against theirs.
And that's all I got. Sold yet?
If you've bought every total war since rome and enjoyed them all then I dont see how you could go wrong here...It more of the same great total war formula..(unless you hate this time period and culture?)
Has to be the most facepalming question I've ever heard in my life..hope you were joking..The U.S.A didn't even exist in the 16th century..p.s will the USA be playable
A HUGE fan of the Stainless Steel mod for m2 kingdoms. Thank you to all the modders!
Get Shogun 1 from somewhere, try it, see if you like medieval Japan or not. And if you do like it, imagine the battlefield filled by nicely modeled high quality units or ships, upgradable generals, nice campaign map with more features, better diplomacy and even more ninja/geisha awesomeness.
Lots of TW goodness in this release, but if you don't like the timeframe or culture I doubt anyone can "sell" it to you.

"Hope" is not a strategy.
get the demo off steam and you will see. EPIC
Yea, you really should play the free demo.
Honestly to me it seems like it's going to be the best TW game so far. Napoleon was greatly improved, and this follows it, shouldn't be anything major that's bad.
The demo was good, but obviously not as good as the whole game. So I would give it a go.
Yes and Tom Cruise is the USA general.
As far as selling it too you...NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!NINJAS!!!
New ninja videos... nuff said!
But yeah if you're a fan of the TW games, I think this'll be the best, I don't plan on looking back, ever.
