Default Hyrule: The Legend of Zelda IH

It's the Origin Year of Hyrule

Just after the Hyrulean Civil War, The king of Hyrule has unified the Kingdom of Hyrule. Now
Hyrule is at peace and all the nations are prospering. With the Dark Interlopers (Soon to be the Twili) banished to the Twilight Realm, things are running smoothly. But there is so much wide open territory in Hyrule that hasn't been claimed yet. So we will be seeing a lot of expansion. But once all of that territory has been taken, then what will happen? That is up to you to decide. Will you take command of your nations army and and conquer others? Will you forge alliances and keep the peace in Hyrule? There is an endless possibility of what you can do. The nations of Hyrule are in need of a leader. Will that be you?!

    Military Rules

Each faction has their own unit roster. They will be taken from the Legend of Zelda series as accurately as can be.

    Militia
You can train militia for your City/Provence for a whole turn.
However if you happen to do this your taxes will double for a turn.
NOTE* You cannot move Militia out of Town\Provence.

    Combat Rules
I am implementing a new type of combat. Your troops will be organized and lined by rank. Here is the battle system.

    Battle Lines

The Main Battle Line really carries out it's name and that is where that main battling goes on. If the main battle line gives out then others will take on the main battle line such as flanks, long-range, & ect.

The Flanks are key to battles. If your flank gives out then your main battle line is sure to be slaughtered. It is good to take out the enemies flank or at least hold your own.

The Long-Range will take down the main battle line as soon as they have taken down the enemies long-range troops.

The Artillery will do a lot of damage to the main lines. They are devastating and the only way to take down the artillery is to get through the main battle lines or flank. Artillery will not attack each other.

The Hero - is pretty much like a general to your armies. The hero unit is strong, his/her abilities will affect the battle. Each hero has different abilities. The hero cannot die. If the hero unit happens to lose his/her battle then he/she will be wounded and will be sent back to your capital in another 5 turns.

Hero's Attachment is an attachment to the hero which will add to the hero's abilities.

Wonder, if you hold a wonder then the closest wonder to the battle that is owned by you will be implemented into the battle and the wonder(s) battle ability will be implemented into the battle.

Artifacts are pretty much just like wonder. Simple as that. But different abilities.

    Movement
Each army can move one Provence a day. If a Hero stationed with the army has a certain trait or ability then that might change according to the trait/ability.
If there happens to be a war of around 4+ v. 1 then their may be penalties against the 4.

    Alliances
If you are in an alliance, declaring war goes the same way as Empire: Total War or Napoleon: Total War goes.

    Protectorates
They are really just like the alliance thing above but they don't gate a choice.

    Economic Rules

Each province contributes 15% of your current total rupees.

    There are 4 different resources.
Wood - Used for building units and buildings
Marble - Used for building units and buildings
Crystal Glass - Used for building units, buildings, and unit upgrades
Wine - Used to increase happiness

    Happiness
The happiness will increase the income of a nation by double.
    Here is how things work.
Each percentage is the percentage of happiness increased.

    60 Wine output - +5%
    120 Wine output - +10%
    180 Wine output - +15%
    240 Wine output - +20%
    300 Wine Output - +25%
    360 Wine output - +30%
    420 Wine output - +35%
    480 Wine output - +40%
    540 Wine output - +45%
    600 Wine output - +50%
    660 Wine output - +55%
    720 Wine Output - +60%
    780 Wine Output - +65%
    840 Wine Output - +70%
    900 Wine Output - +75%
    960 Wine Output - +80%
    1020 Wine Output - +85%
    1080 Wine Output - +90%
    1140 Wine Output - +95%
    1200 Wine Output - +100%

Each province you own will lower your nation's happiness by 5%

    Magic Rules

Some of the artifacts, temples, heroes, and/or hero attachments may contain magic.

The main nation of magic is the Twili. With their Dark Magic.
The Magic will be presented in the attributes and details of the artifacts, temples, heroes, and/or hero attachments.

    Espionage Rules

You can send in spies to figure out more on the enemy or soon to be enemy.
You can also send decoys to help your spies succeed in their mission(s) for a little cost of wine...

A spy can do the following...
    Spy out Garrison
    Observe Troop movement
Start a riot (Happiness decreased 1% by each spy that preforms the mission)
    Steal Rupees
Poison Water (Decreases nations income by 1% by each spy that preforms the mission)

    Government Rules

There are 2 scales. You may change only 1 scale by 5% once per turn. They go from 0% to 100%.

If you increase the amount of light, then the darkness will decrease.
If you decreses the amount of light then the darkness will increase.
    Darkness 0% - Light 100%
Light- Increases Happiness, Decreases Military strength
Dark- Decreases Happiness, Increases Military Strength

    Democratic 0% - Monarchy 100%
Monarchy- Increases resources gathering speed, 25% less rupee income
Democratic - Decreases resource gathering speed, 25% more rupee income

Please make your own nation's RP thread for diplomacy, trade, and/or ect.

    Artifacts

    Artifacts of Light
Triforce - The Triforce has the power to grant the wish of whomever touches it, and molds the Sacred Realm to reflect that person's heart. The Triforce does not discriminate against "good" or "evil". However, if a person without an equal balance of power, wisdom, and courage makes a wish, the Triforce will split into its three separate parts: the piece that best personifies the one who made the wish will be the only piece to remain in hand, while the other two take residence in whosoever most personifies them. Reassembly is then required for such a person's wish to be granted, but does not exclude another from making the attempt.

Master Sword - The Master Sword, also known as the Blade of Evil's Bane and the Sword of Time, At one point in the ancient land of Hyrule, the Ancient Sages forged a sword to repel evil, since they knew evil ones could abuse the Triforce. Made centuries before becoming Link's most beloved weapon, the Master Sword will not allow itself to be held by just anyone. Only those that are pure of heart and strong of body may lay their hands on the Master Sword. It was imbued with the power to repel evil, causing its blade to sparkle with a mystical light and its signature yellow gem embedded into the hilt to shine brightly.

Kokiri's Emerald - The Kokiri's Emerald is held by the Great Deku Tree and the Kokiri in the Kokiri Forest.

Goron's Ruby - "The Spiritual Stone of Fire, also known as the Goron's Ruby, is our race's hidden treasure...."

Zora's Sapphire - "My mother gave it to me and said I should give it only to the man who will be my husband. You might call it the Zora's Engagement Ring!"

    Artifacts
Ocarina of Time - The Ocarina of Time is a unique ocarina secretly handed down for generations by Hyrule's Royal Family. The Ocarina of Time and, the Spiritual Stones, are the three keys needed to enter the Sacred Realm where the Triforce is found.

Hylian Shield - Similar to the one used by the Hylian Knights. The shield is made of wood with an overlaying of metal which can deflect many attacks.

    Artifacts of Darkness
Fused Shadow - It is the physical manifestation of extremely powerful Shadow magic created by an "ancient race" and once used by a group known only as the Interlopers. This power was sealed away by the Light Spirits.

    Wonders
Mirror of Twilight - The mirror was created by Din, Nayru, and Farore to banish the Interlopers to the Twilight Realm. It serves as a link between the Twilight Realm and Hyrule, allowing beings to travel between the two worlds as desired. It is housed in the Arbiter's Grounds, where it was used to banish criminals convicted of crimes against Hyrule or the Royal Family to the Twilight Realm.

Temple of Time - The Temple of Time is a recurring location in the Legend of Zelda series. Home of the Master Sword, it serves as the gateway between Hyrule and the Sacred Realm. The Temple of Time was constructed in ancient times by the Ancient Sages to protect the Sacred Realm from evil.

Death Mountain - A huge mountain or mountain range that is typically the highest geographical point of Hyrule, and serves as the homeland of the proud Goron race.

Lake Hylia - It is the largest body of water in Hyrule, usually fed by a river Zora.

Hyrule Castle - It is the ancestral home of the Royal Family of Hyrule.

Great Duku Tree - The Great Deku Tree is the fatherly guardian of the forest who safeguards not only the dense land around him, but the small population of beings that live in his shadow.

    Tavern
After a hard day`s work there is nothing more pleasant than a cool jug of wine. That`s why your citizens love to meet at the tavern. And when the last old songs have been sung at the end of the day, they set out merrily and cheerful to their homes. Every expansion of your tavern allows you to serve more wine.

    Happiness -

    Workshop
The most skilled men of your nation serve at the workshop. They use the latest inventions to improve the equipment of our troops. Therefore they become even better and stronger! Every stage of improvement allows you to get more upgrades for troops.

    Hideout
A wise leader always keeps an eye on both his allies and his enemies. The hideout allows you to hire spies who can provide you with information from inside other towns. A larger hideout provides space for more spies.

    Town Walls
The town wall protects your citizens against your enemies and the sun. Beware! Enemies will try to tear holes into your wall or to climb over it. Every level increases the resistance of your town wall.

I'd like to reserve Gorons. Never played in an IH before, so I'd like to give it a shot.

Cool, cool. If necessary I can change to Moblins or something if it is required to help start the game up.

Well, if we don't have enough people I'll turn them into NPC factions.
But if you'd like you can always switch if the faction is still open (Before the IH starts) of if you would like to trade factions with someone.

I'm gonna work on the reserved posts right now too. It will help you decide as well.

Never played Zelda much, but I guess I'll take Hyrule. However, shouldn't Link be on Hyrule's faction? If not, then I guess I'll go with whatever he is, because he looks awsome and I'm sure his faction will too.

    Link is Kokiri.
After the civil war, his wounded mother left him there with the great duku tree. His mother died and he was raised in Kokiri. He only helps save the Kingdom of Hyrule.
He was actually born in a Skyloft, a land floating above the clouds.

So, Kokiri or Kingdom of Hyrule?
    Link is part of Kokiri

Never played IH. I just randomly found this. But by Nintendo, if there is a Zelda game, I am going to play it.

In as Gerudo. Do I get Nabooru, or Koume and Kotake?

Well, I was thinking of doing something similar to the Twili faction and their leaders. I think I would put Nabooru in. But Koume and Kotake, I haven't thought about that one. Maybe they could be Hero Attachments. Not sure...
But Nabooru will probably be implemented.

Well Nabooru is Ganondorf's lieutenant. She'd probably be pretty chill if I didn't do something crazy like try to conquer the world.

    Oh wait...

Well, she was only his lieutenant after being brainwashed by Koume and Kotake.
    So you take Gerudo?

Maybe, RJ's trying to convince me to be Zoras. Are the lakes passable by anyone or just the Zora? Also, is there trade?

    edit: Yep I'm Gerudo

Rivers will take affect with battles. It will decrease the attack by 25% if you attack from across rivers. But the Zora can render that obsolete. They can attack without any decrease of attack. (I will add this when I make a geography map.
Lakes, I haven't come up with anything to make use of them. I want to though.
Yes, there is trade in the RP threads of factions.

Ok, I'll add you as Gerudo. Still waiting for Ag's decision.

I was thinking the Zora or boats could use the lakes as a single province. Same with ocean, except it would have more than one province.
