Great news Hinkel! Looking forward to seeing how this turns out using Napoleon as a base!
Your reality sir, is lies and balderdash, and I'm happy to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever!

    This is great news.

I was considering buying empire just so I could play B&G but it looks like I won't have to. Best of luck! I can't wait.

You are going to have to buy it if you want to play it in campaign mode though.

Great stuff Hinkel. I love the ACW mod but ETW always felt a bit clunky to me - like the NTW base better. I look forward to some progress with this and good luck.

Graphics, sound, action are amazing--great work. I've played several battles and am very optimistic about fully developed versions. Design indicates attention to detail, love of battle action, and fantastic battlefield mechanics--tactical decisions (brilliant strokes or errors) play out effortlessly and in full cinematic affect. ACW devotees will not be disappointed.

Cav needs a big look at, if it touches art they shatter. It fights basically to the last man, frontal charges canister and rifles and is A-OK afterwards. You can completely shatter armies with cavalry. Considering Cav during this war played such a minor role, I find this odd. Perhaps a cap on cavalry numbers is in order? I don't think they need a nerf stats wise, but that you can field an entire army of them is odd balance and historical wise...

Apart from that, loving the work that's gone in to it -- Rifle accuracy seems piss poor until you close to touching distance

I have that same issue too. The installer didn't even create its own ACW folder for me, I had to do that myself then installed it, did the script thing and all. Didn't work, still crashed and everything

THIS, I will watch. I think the ACW mod with the NTW battle mechanics will make it top notch; and this is from a man who immensely enjoys the ETW-ACW mod.

They should use the varientmodels In my opinion, help with graphics, because ETW models look terrible to those who have to play on medium graphics and such

Well, the empire models are superb and we will use some of them of course.

But for the confederates, variant models will be good, so we can make 65 different uniforms in one regiment

    Hello Hinkel,

I hate to dig up something from the very beginning of this thread but I have a quick question about the ETW flags in this picture.

Did you somehow manage to get this regiment to carry two flags? The picture looks like there is the standard Union Flag, aswell as a state flag. Is this so, how did you manage it?

I am interested in adding more drummers and fifers to regiments for ETW.

Anyway awesome job on the mod so far!

    Thank you
