Vlad,
I have been playing your mod quite a bit lately. I have also compared it to stock Rusichi TW and I commend the work you've done. The Rusichi mod is excellent as it is, but your mod completes what the Rusichi team started with the addition of so many additional factions and units.
One thing that I do miss from the Rusichi mod is a longer campaign. Playing as Kiev, starting in 1157 gave me time to develop my nation, my economy, and my armies before the Mongols arrived. In fact, by the time the Mongols arrive I am so engrossed in "affairs of the state" that I almost forgot they were coming.
As Kiev starting in 1223, my game is destined to be very short...not much time to prepare before the Tartars are climbing over my walls.
Is it possible to have a campaign option for a longer "early" campaign...perhaps starting around the same time as Rusichi (1157 or so)? Is there an easy way to do this by simply modifying the start date or does that throw the scripted historical events out of wack?
Some other minor suggestions...
1. If you keep the 1223 starting date, the faction leaders and family trees need to be changed. It doesn't appear to have been changed from the ones in Rusichi (historically accurate for 1157).
2. If you keep the 1223 starting date, the settlements should have more advanced barracks built already. Secondly, high/late period units should be available for recruitment.
3. Any way to integrate some custom battlemap settlements (such as the ones underway for TATW)? It would be great to see custom battlemap settlements for steppe villages or a yurt village for the Mongols. Those should be relatively easy to do...not many models and rather simple models. If time and support permitted, it would be awesome to see some custom Rus settlements too such as the white buildings of Vladimir with its distinctive architecture and the Golden Gate, etc.
