    It's a good idea but theres not really much point, we have Medieval II for that.

    a Rome mod would be better, love the age of rome or earlier Greece vs Persia.

    nahh I hate medieval...and since medieval just came out,people miss rome total war more because long time since we first played it...just an opinion ....I would prefer rome for sure

    suggestion,you can always try and ask about (rome) mod on (shogun 2 ) and see how many people looking forward to it.

    by the way ,you guys are talented and I should learn from your ideas too

    Shogun is Medieval, just in Japan

    I think it would be easier to made a Mod who takes place in Chienese which would be also much cooler cause this scenario isn`t used to much. Also you have a lot fewer work to do, cause the asian style. The one think you have to add, were Shield and other defense weapons. Ah and offcourse much bigger units^^

    Mods to shogun 2 should not involve Europe at all.. I hope you know why...

    As stated, CA WILL NOT make tools for map edits because of propitary code. You would be better off making your own game...good luck.

    Maybe something along the lines of " Alien vs Predator " you make " Knights vs Samurai". Imagine what would have happened if these 2 totally different warriror types would have meet? Since most probably the map will not be able to mod , why not have a fictive scenario where these 2 have meet in Japan. Skinning will not be a problem , and you have allready 2 religions in the game. Hmmm i think there is possibility and it could be fun.

    Maybe call it " Shogun2 vs MTW2 " the final countdown

    I agree with this. It'd be amazing to fight as Cao Cao in a game. Oh, wait. I guess there are those Dynasty Warriors games. Hmmm... Well, this'd be the first RTS, right?

    Plus, the DW games aren't very historically correct, character/weapon-wise.

    Even if it would be possible with mod tools it would be a TON of work, and a Medieval 3 would probably be released before the mod could be theoretically finished. I think Medieval 2 holds up pretty damn well, even the graphics still hold up pretty good. The game is especially with mods like Stainless Steel or Deus lo Vult or whatever else is out now.

    Guys... what' your talking about is create a NEW game; new assets, new buildings, new map, new units, new animations,... If its take 2-3 years and 150 devs to create this, imagine with 5-6 amateurs working 10h/week.

    Be realist. Each TW has his era, so just switch game or be patient.

    Just...no.

    Third age 'only' change skins & campaign map; the two things we done since rome, and this is already a loooooot of work. But they dont, and cant, change the building & city, so the 'universe', the atmosphere of the original game stay the same. Because Tolkien have the same medieval base, its ok. Here, you talk about create a whole new era. Japanese architecture on medieval europe ? Wait..
