News about my update for mod Mongol invasion , date 19. 12 .2023. From the latest updates, i change icons for pagan temples (all) for the Principality of Lithuania, for the Prussian tribes and for the Mordovian tribes, their icons have been completely changed. I changed the image of the icons of the buildings in the game, for greater atmosphere and realism (the image of some buildings will also be replaced soon, this is not final) !
I completely rewrote the export_buildings text file, it was an incredible, long and painstaking job that took several weeks of my long work. The file is huge, very large. I replaced the image of members of the Prussian and Mordovian factions. The religion of the Prussians, Mordva and Lithuania is now a pagan religion. This mod is created as a mod for the game Medival 2 Kingdoms, and works great on the game installed from Steam. The link to download the mod will be available within a month, it will be available on Google Drive for public download.

I corrected the location and name of the cities of Mordva and Novgorod
In Mordva I did it using a map provided by a forum member (as far as I could)
Novgorod was changed to the historical location of the Izborsk fortress, and the city of Pskov (before that they were located incorrectly!)
Instead of a village, he gave the settlement of Staraya Russa (with a historical location) for the city of Novgorod
At the same time, I’m making a bunch of other changes with hiring units, maintaining units, writing scripts, and so on (these are very small, insignificant, but tedious changes that take up a huge amount of time).
As I already said, the mod is ready, but I wanted to add units for the Bolgars on the Danube and for the Bulgars on the Volga river (I have already added about 6-8 new units to them)... and they will be in the release of the mod version 2.0 (in the upcoming one), for more atmosphere games. Otherwise, the Bolgarians on the Danube before had only European mercenary units

For the Mongol Invasion mod version 2.0 you need the Original Game Medieval 2 Kingdoms.
Installation procedure for the Mongol Invasion Mod 2.0 :
1) Install Mod Rusichi_TW_1_0 (use exe file)
2) Install the patch Rusichi_TW_patch_1_1_rus (use exe file)
3) Open the Mongol Invasion 2 folder, and copy the contents of this folder to the folder where your game Medieval 2 Kingdoms is located.
( If you installed game Medieval 2 Kingoms from Steam - so your original game located in folder: steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II Total War ).
You need to copy the files with replacement (and for safety it is advisable to save the original game in a separate folder, this is very important ! )
Before starting the game for the first time, you need to open the folder steam/steamapps/common/Medieval II TotalWar/ mods/ Rusichi_TW/ data/ world/ maps/ base
and from the base folder you need to delete one file map.rwm ( if it is there )

Among the features of the game in the mod itself,
1) There it is impossible to select a faction in the main company (by clicking on it), and then (having changed your mind) click on another faction. You will be thrown out of the game in Windows. If you have chosen a faction, then start playing for it (by clicking start game)
2) It is impossible to select a battle and then change your mind and switch to the campaign, or vice versa, it is impossible to switch from a company to a battle. You will be kicked out of the Windows game. (this is some kind of problem from the Rusichi original, which I have not corrected yet, but it is not critical).
3) in the game, after every few moves, make a save (just in case). If suddenly there is a failure, then load the last save of the game and continue playing.
It is advisable to make saves under different names ( for example 1 2 3 4 ... or a b c d ) so that they are all different (but this is not necessary, whatever you want)
4) For the English version, I could not completely translate the event_strings file, later I will make a patch that will completely translate all the text there into English language

Work on this Mongol Invasion 2 mod was carried out by me personally in 2010 and in 2023 -2024. It took many months of painstaking work, incredibly long work. A lot of bugs from the previous 2010 version of the mod have been fixed. Three new factions were added, and many new Mongol invasions were added. Many units have been returned to the game, and etc.
