Trouble using certain models

I've been trying to use the Prussian Freikorps model for a new unit I've made and it just results in a CTD when I try to play a custom battle. Is this because it's from a DLC pack and is it possible to use this or other DLC models for custom units?

Those DLC unitmodels are locked by CA, so you can't use them for other units .
