I would actually like to contribute my next song in Punk-o-matic community to this AAR - it will be named "The Tale of Juvage".

I had it coming...
There is nothing more for me anymore.. my drunken warriors, gone. My mead, gone. My revenge, gone - damn you, Juvage. *Shoots himself in the head*
Anyway, I don't think that Skant needs the first post anymore ^^
first of all, apologies, i haven't been on this thread for what seems like forever, busy with life and commitments,
Skantarios, oooh you master storyteller you; i confess i experienced chills when i thought of Father Konstantin going south to Constatinople thinking it was going to be taken by the Turks as it was in our history then i came across this
nice tie-in, my friend; well played and well written!Originally Posted by Skantarios
truly a happy ending; one that's come full cirlce
nice afterthought in the form of the letter by Juvage; he died as he lived, with a sword in his hand, so to speak, and aye, what man can say better?

dont let this fall to the second page people
Oh my gawd. LET US POPULATE THE THREAD AGAIN!
Wow. Just wow.
You don't know me. I haven't posted on any of your other AARs. That was because all the awesomeness had already been said.
I looovvveee all three of your AARs. I have spent countless nights (and often into the morning) reading your AARs. Your literary skills are amazing, and your storylines (the civil war in Legacy, Jurate in this, etc.) are brilliant. I cannot express how glad I am for finding these awesome AARs.
Anyway, eagerly await the next one
(Request: Western European faction, e.g. France, Aragon, Portugallets see how you go without those horse archers)
In all seriousness though, I've lost count of how many battles I've won using tactics from these AARs.
^You should also make these into novels. With pictures![]()
It will never end will it?
We revere this man, with good reason, due to the many stories he has created.
with the completion of this Story though I am frightened that Skantarios will have to find a way to trump even this master piece.
I actually do have a question
The end of the story with the reference to the Laskaris
was that a hint at unifying the two storylines?
Look, Some words
Hey! This thread deserves to be up top. LET EVERYONE READ THE MASTERPIECE.. MUAHAHAHA!
I can't help but notice that Skantarios hasn't posted up his usual 'making of' stuff and supplementary material at the end, as he had with the other two AARs. So the only way I can explain this is that he's still guiding Juvage's army across Europe, stamping out every single vestige of civilisation on the entire map, and too busy to post.
BEST AAR EVER!!!
I’ve read some or all of probably 50+ AAR’s. I’ve played a lot of RTW and a ton of M2TW… and many AAR’s provide the depth, detail, and human element that the games lack. What I’ll often do is search through AAR’s at work to kill a few minutes here and there. For every five AAR’s I open up, usually four are unfinished, half-hearted, or not worth the read. Before this story of Juvage, I had found several good AAR’s that I enjoyed to the end.
But this one changes them all. Never on this site have I read such a well-told and engaging story. I found myself experiencing emotions as if I was reading a great book or watching a thrilling film. You truly have a special talent with words, Skantarios. As the story unfolded, I was stunned, shaken, curious, horrified, and ultimately blown away. That I never lost my curiosity is a true complement to this story, as I have stopped reading many a book due to boredom.
I must note that I have not read Skantarios’ first two AAR’s, because I found this one first. Though after seeing how this one ended, I am excited to start this double-AAR that everyone else seems to love. I also wonder if I’ll be able to convince myself that I’ve identified Jorte, assuming she has a different name AND that Skantarios placed this detail so intently that there actually might be a character intertwined with all of this. But the realist in me makes me think that would be expecting too much. It just shows how much faith I have in Skantarios as a brilliant author and writer.
While reading Pagan Vengeance, I must say my heartbeat rose significantly a few times, just due to the drama. This story overall was truly dark and horrifying, but it was so compelling at the same time.
This story truly sets a new standard for all other AARtists as they touch fingertip to keyboard. Good luck, everyone – you’ll need it!
Lastly, to Skantarios, I truly admire your commitment to completing this AAR in a high-quality fashion and a consistent pace, despite moving twice in your real life, apparently, during the creation of this story. You prioritized your audience ahead of yourself, which is the mark of a true artist. I humbly thank you for all your efforts, and the amazing story that you have allowed us all to enjoy.
Skantarios will never read you. He is disapparead in another dimension.
Few days ago I started first page of this story... Now I finished the last one. And all I have is empty feeling now when Juvage is gone. Story was kind of cut short. There could had been so much that Juvage could had still shown to us now that his mask was shattered. I both love and hate this ending.
