Thread: Problems with "construction_cost_bonus_stone"

    Default Problems with "construction_cost_bonus_stone"

I've been adding new unique historical buildings and noticed that the "construction_cost_bonus_stone" attribute on buildings does not work. I realize that the attribute is not shown in-game but I have compared construction costs for buildings within a settlement before and after a mason's guild is in the structure and there is no difference. I have also removed any governor, gone through several turns, added the attribute to other buildings, and tried the "taxable_bonus_income trick"(http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...t=masons+guild) without any success whatsoever. I never noticed this before largely because I was unconcerned with getting a mason's guild so it never occured to me that it might be broken. I've tried multiple mods and the attribute does not work in any of them whether Kingdoms or Medieval 2 vanilla. The only files I edited when adding new buildings were export_buildings, export_desc_building, desc_strat, as well as adding the necessary tgas. I've searched this site up and down without any luck, has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it? I'd prefer not to have to uninstall Medieval 2 and Kingdoms and reinstall all my crap again.

I believe it is a leftover from RTW that doesn't work anymore in M2TW, just like the 'taxable_tax_income' attribute yo linked to.

I was under the impression that it was still functional. The construction_cost_bonus is the effect mason's guilds have and, I may be wrong but, thought they worked correctly?
