    Mirror 2: http://moddl.com/forums/index.php?/f...chivalry-fcrc/ - Provided by Blackshroud

Both download links are dead. Should anyone have this mod intact, please contact the Modding Staff or post here.

    Installation Instructions
    1. Make sure your Rome - Total War is patched to 1.5 (and if you have BI, make sure that's patched to 1.6)
    2. If you have Chivalry - Total War 1.07 installed, and you still want to be able to play this original "vanilla" version, rename the modfolder to something else. Do not simply overwrite the ChivTW 1.07 installation.
    3. Download FCRC
    4. Unzip the .zip file to your Rome - Total War directory. In my case, that would be "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War"
If you already had ChivalryTW v 1.07 installed, you can skip step 5a and go to step 5b
5a. If you haven't got the previous version of Chivalry - Total War installed, right-click your RTW.exe (or BI.exe, depending on the engine you want to use) file and create a shortcut. Place the shortcut on your desktop, right-click it and select "Properties".
Now, in the target line, input this behind what's already there:
    -mod:Chivalry -show_err -enable_editor -ne -movie_cam
Make sure there's a space between what's already there and "-mod:Chivalry"
5b. If you have already got ChivTW 1.07 installed, you can also just use the launcher to play the game
6.Download and unzip the hotfix to your Rome - Total War directory (attachment in this post).
    7. You're now ready to play!

    8. Optional: Running FCRC with Alex.exe (by TW-fanboy)

NOTE: save often! This version is a bit unstable at times. When we get to the cause, we'll release a hotfix.

II. - The Factions + Info

The Abbasid Caliphate and the Mongolians are not playable at the start, but can be unlocked as some sort of "reward". Playing as either of these factions can be highly unbalanced, though. Novgorod is playable, but hasn't had as much attention by the developers (me) as the rest of the map. Stuff for a patch?
    The Republic of Venice

Serenissima Repubblica di Venezia, the Most Serene Republic of Venice, is the rising power in Italy in the late 12th century. Having acquired large amounts of wealth by trade, the Republic has risen to become one of the most prominent Italian city-states, equal of other maritime republics like Genoa. But Venice is different. Sitting at the northernmost point of the Adriatic Sea, Venice's lagoon serves as a naturel harbour, safe from every outside threat. Long have the merchants of Venice watched as Genoa and Constantinople unsuccessfully tried to destroy "La Serenissima". Would the opportunity arise, Venice might strike back to one of these enemies. Even now there is talk of yet another Crusade, and perhaps Venice might offer these men transport in return for some... favours. Perhaps the walls of Byzantium itself could be toppled and its wealth transported to the Republic.

But it hasn't come to that yet. If those dreams are to succeed, Venice must make sure the city and its surroundings are well-protected. It shouldn't forget about the German Emperor and the Pope, both constantly watching Northern Italy with Greed. If the Republic can keep these natural enemies outside the walls, it might just have enough potential to rule an Italian-Latin Empire...

Venice was founded during the Dark Ages, when multiple lagoon communities joined together to protect themselves from Lombards, Huns, and other threats. It was quickly acknowledged by the Byzantine Empire and Venice's leader got the title of Dux. Later, in 803, the Empire acknowleged the de facto independence of Venice, which then started to grow in power and wealth. By 1204, Venice was possibly one of the largest cities in Europe, comparable with Byzantium itself. When a fourth Crusade was called, the Republic saw the opportunity to rid itself of one of its most hated enemies: The Byzantine Empire. The Venetian fleet tricked the Crusaders into helping them, and after a few months of siege, Constantinople fell and much of its riches were taken to Venice, including 4 bronze horses. This event slowly set in motion the discovering of Ancient texts which had been kept safe in Constantinople, and 1204 can be considered the early start of the Italian Renaissance.

    The Kingdom of Castile
The time for war is at hand! The Moors have been occupying our Iberia for long enough! During the reign of Alfonso VIII, Castile allied with Aragon and fought vigorously against the Moors until they won the decisive battle of Las Navas de Tolosa in 1212. This was not without some reverses, as Alfonso was defeated in battle decisively in 1195, and had to really press hard for his victories.

The Moors to the south pose the biggest threat at the start of your campaign, but the smaller kingdom of Aragon may use this as a distraction as they attempt to gain the upper hand against Castile. France can also be a future threat if they are able to consolidate their holdings.

    The Kingdom of Bohemia
Bohemia got its name from the Celtic Boii tribe, who inhabited the region from around the 4th Century BC. They were later displaced by Germanic tribes, and then again in the 6th Century AD when the Slavs arrived.

By 1041 Bohemia had fully emerged from its tribal Slavic origins and formed a state that was recognised as a duchy. Although Bohemia is mostly independent of the Holy Roman Empire, sovereignty is still fought over as the german emperors viewed it as a vassal state of their Empire.

Playing Bohemia, in the beginning one of the smallest and weakest factions of the game, is quite hard. Prague is one of the biggest and wealthiest cities all around but you hold only two provinces – aside from Cechy, only Moravia is on your side.In addition, the kingdom is surrounded by the mighty states of Poland, Hungary and last but not least, the Holy Roman Empire. Your first step may be the capturing of Luzica and after this keep your eyes peeled!

Carefully watch the situation in the German provinces, and when they get weaker (or better - turn into anarchy) attack! However, you will start as an ally of the Empire and it might not be profitable to further expand into their territories, unless of course you want to fight off this superpower as well as dealing with possible agressions from the hostile Hungary and Poland. If it is possible to ally with one of the other Central European powers the situation may change...

But to hell with ideals, if you want to be succesfull, you have to revalue relations with the surrounding factions every second year. Exaggerated polictics, nethertheless, could also be the way to your downfall, so choose your steps carefully and wisely. Historical rulers of Bohemia did so, and they soon became famous kings. What about you?

    The Kingdom of Hungary

Bela looked upon his kingdom, happy to return once again. He had spent his early years at the Byzantine court, had even been prepared to once become Emperor. But with Manuel of Byzantium getting a son, this chance was lost and Béla was instead married to Agnes of Antioch. After that, he and Agnes went on pilgrimage to Jerusalem, even making a donation to the Knights Hospitaller! But Béla was destined for greatness. His brother Stephen, King of Hungary, died without an heir and Béla was the first in line to be king.

From 1180 on, Béla started an aggressive international policy, taking Croatie, Dalmatia and the Srem from the Byzantine Empire. Hungary had become one of the largest and most influential kingdoms in Europe, respected by the Pope and the other nations. Now, in 1191, Béla is destroying Serbian resistance in his kingdom. Will he create a Hungarian Empire? Or will his dynasty fall to a greater power?

Historically, Hungary was one of the most stable kingdoms in the Middle Ages. It grew from Slavic and Magyar tribal organizations to a large feudal society not unlike that of Western Europe. Its court became a centre of arts and learning, and it rarely was at war with another Christian nation. Hungary bore the brunt of the Mongol Invasion, as it was one of the countries that halted Mongol expansion into Europe. While early in the campaign you'll still have access to the last few remnants of tribal organizations, you'll later on have access to Western-style plate-armoured knights.

The Capet Dynasty (Kingdom of France)

Things don't look good for Philippe II. Having recently stepped out of the Third Crusade because of a disagreement with Richard Plantagenet, Philippe now stands back in France. Or more precisely: in Ile-de-France, as that is the only true loyal fiefdom of the French king. The rest of the lands collectively known as "France" either serve the Plantagenet Kings ( as English is not appropriate here - the Kings of England spoke French until the early Renaissance. The Plantagenet kings in particular, including Richard, saw England as just a cash cow for their rich French territories.) or are out for their own glory. The Heathen Cathars in the south around the Provence don't make things easier. But Phillippe is willing to change this...

Phillippe II "Augustus" was the French King who drove the Plantagenet dynasty out of France and forced them to have their court in England (something they hadn't done before). Phillippe's son even tried to invade England itself when that country was in civil war. But that time hasn't come yet. Phillippe must first improve French (read: Ile-de-France's) economy and then force the various rulers of the fiefdoms to pledge loyalty to him. Once that is done, he must make a quick move to drive the Plantagenets to the sea and then turn to face the Holy Roman Emperor, who, like in history, will undoubtably try to take advantage of the situation. You'll have access to a huge AOR, including the famed Flemish & Brabançon, but so do your enemies. Next to that, you'll have access to Burgundian, Provençal, Flemish and Lombard nobility. Surely, the Plantagenet kings won't have a way to stop this massive force of cavalry. At least not until about a century or 2 later.

    You're still reading? Press play!

    The Holy Roman Empire
The "Holy Roman Empire" is something of a unique faction with many interesting pecularities. The Regnum Teutonicorum - the German Kingdom - at the beginning of the period is in truth more of a loose confederation of petty states, in principle of German high nobles and an overall Emperor - the German king who travelled to Rome in order that the Pope crowns him "Augustus Imperii Romani" - Roman Emperor - in return for the protection of the Catholic Church. Without the support of the autonomous nobles, the kingdom did not have an army, as mainly military support to the kings or emperors was provided on a goodwill basis and it is due to this fact that a good portion of troops raised were provided by the various Churches who were answerable to the Emperor and typically Bishops therefore became soldiers first and churchmen second.

The German Kingdom, or also still known as Regnum Francorum Orientalium or East-Francia - the East-Frankish Kingdom as derived from the Frankish Karolinger house - is surrounded by powerful factions on all sides, you have Poland and Hungary to the East, France and England to the west. The main weaknesses of this faction are its inherent instability within itself the possible cause of many rebellions and "civil" wars, coupled with its central position within the large European powers.

Now, the Hohenstaufen Dynasty is in power. While Friedriech "Barbarossa" died in the Holy Land, his son Heinrich looked south. Now, with Heinrich as emperor, the Empire stands at the borders of the Siculo-Norman Kingdom. Will Heinrich succeed in expanding the Empire even further? Or will the "nation" crumble under the force of attacks from all sides?

    The Moors (Almoravid Caliphate)
The Moors were a people that came from North Africa and were chiefly Muslims of Berber or Arab origins. They conquered most of southern Spain and expanded their African territories in the campaigns period but were also conquered themselves by other similar North African factions such as the Almoravids and Almohades which for the purposes of Chivalry Total War will be considered the same faction.

Their religion is the Islam which the Moors are fanatical about and is central to the Moorish Empires policies. The factions surrounding the Moors include Christian Spain to the north and Egypt to the far east. The Moors strengths includes its relative isolation from immediate threats in North Africa providing a strong platform for invasions of Europe. Christian Spain will of course not be satisfied until all the Moorish peoples are expelled from the Iberian peninsula.\n\nThe Moorish armies have a huge variety of troop types at their disposal.

Drums and flags were used to communicate and scare enemy armies. Another tradition among the Berbers of the Moorish army was to shave their heads before battle. As in Christian Iberia local militia form your defensive backbone combined with religious volunteers and Muslim monk soldiers dedicating a part of their life to defending strategic positions before going home to their families. Cavalry includes very strong light Berbers providing the offensive backbone of any Moorish army, Camel Riders, and Horse Archers of Turkish origin are available in some regions. If you are lucky you may find Andalusian ‘Christian Style Knights' using Christian captured armour to add a heavy cavalry punch to your army.

Missile troops are available in the form of Javeliners, some Archers and the famed light and elite Andalusian Crossbowmen

Black African Guardsmen are another troop type used in numbers and sometimes whole units were chained together to form a solid line of elite troops that neither gave nor expected mercy to be given.

Historically this era saw the loss of significant ground for your faction on the Iberian peninsula and even the invasion of your territories in North Aftrica. Fighting was very brutal in Spain and both sides took up the practice of head hunting. It’s a dirty war full of treachery and strife even in your own ranks. Hold your provinces to exceed your factions historical fate.

    Seljuks of Rum

In the 1070s, the Seljuk commander Suleyman bin Kutalmish, a distant cousin of Malik Shah, the ruler of the Grand-Seljuks, and a former contender for the throne of the Grand Seljuk Empire, came to power in western Anatolia. At 1075 AD, he captured the Byzantine cities of Nicaea and Nicomedia. Two years later he declared himself sultan of an independent Seljuk state and established his capital at Nicaea.

The Seljuk Sultanate of Rum was the Seljuk realm that ruled in Anatolia in direct lineage from 1077 to 1307, with capitals first at Nicaea and then at Iconium. Since the sultans of Rum were highly mobile, cities like Kaisareia and Sebasteia also functioned at times as capitals. At its height, the sultanate stretched across central Asia Minor from the Antalya-Alanya shoreline on the Mediterranean coast to the territory of Sinope at the Black Sea. In the east, the sultanate absorbed other Turkish states and reached to Lake Van. Its westernmost limit was near Denizli and the gates of the Aegean basin. The term "Rûm" comes from the Arabic word for Rome. The Seljuks called the lands of their sultanate "Rum" because it had been established on territory long considered Roman by Muslim armies.

The sultanate prospered, particularly during the late 12th and early 13th centuries when it won from the Byzantines key ports on Anatolia's Mediterranean and Black Sea coasts. Within Anatolia the Seljuks fostered trade through a program of caravanserai-building, which facilitated the flow of goods from Iran and Central Asia to the ports. Especially strong trade ties with the Genoese formed during this period. The increased wealth allowed the sultanate to absorb other Turkish states that had been established in eastern Anatolia after the Battle of Manzikert: the Danishmends, the Mengücek, the Saltuklu, and the Artuklu. Seljuk sultans successfully bore the brunt of the Crusades, but in 1243 succumbed to the advancing Mongols.

    Cilician Kingdom of Armenia
Armenian political power has now firmly been established in Cilicia. During the reign of Prince Thoros II (1144-1169), Armenian power in Cilicia increased significantly, as Thoros fought for control of the country from occupying Byzantine garrisons. John II Komnenos had badly defeated the Armenians in 1137, but his death in 1143 gave Thoros the opportunity he needed to escape imprisonment and rally the Armenian nobility to his cause.

Manuel I Komnenos “the Great” had an almost paranoid vendetta against Thoros, even going so far as to say to the Seljuk Sultan Masud, “Quench the burning of my heart toward the Armenian people, destroy their fortresses, and exterminate them.” However, none of Manuel’s attacks were particularly successful.

Now a very capable prince has ascended the throne, Levon II. Levon is skilled in administration, diplomacy, and warfare, and commands a small but rugged army. Historically, Levon extended the boundaries of the principality from Isauria in the west to Hromkla in the east, even occupying Antioch in 1216. He received the title of king from the Pope in 1198, and was crowned as the King of Cilicia in 1199 in his capital, Sis.

Will you be worthy of being the King of Cilicia, or will you lead the Armenians on the path to becoming another footnote in history? Granted, they had already been around for 2000 years, but that's beside the point. Just play FCRC already.

    The Teutonic & Livonian Orders
The Teutonic Order, full name: Ordo domus Sanctæ Mariæ Theutonicorum Hierosolymitanoru (The Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem), was founded in 1192 as a monastic order meant to protect and give hostage to pilgrims. It quickly grew out to become more than that, and was first granted land in Hungary and later in Venice. However, the Order's "real" history begins with a Polish call for aid. The Order marched into Prussia with 20 knights and 200 sergeants-at-arms, and a few years later had built a fortified town in the area (Thorn). In the 1220s, they even took the Livonian Brothers of the Sword among their ranks, extending their rule from Prussia to Estonia.

As the Teutonic order, you'll first have to move your order from the Holy Land to the Baltic. You already own Estonia and Thorn, but your Grandmaster is still near Acre, ready to depart. You'll face countless of bloodthirsty heathens, and once that's done, you'll have to face the brunt of the Mongol Invasion and Poland.

    The Roman Empire
For over 700 years Constantinople, or the East Roman Empire, has stood not only as a bastion of Roman power but also as the seat of Orthodox Christendom. Straddling to both southeast Europe and large parts of Asia Minor the Roman Empire stands at a crossroad of the world. Constantinople is a natural center of commerce and therefore a fabulously rich city.

To the East the Seljuk Turks are dwelling who rule large swaths of land. In the northwest the powerful Kingdom of Hungary is located. In the north, across the Black Sea, is the domain of the Grand-Duke of Kiev and plenty of tribes from the Eurasian steppe, like ie. the Cumans. In order to survive the Roman Empire is in need of finding allies, perhaps the Egyptians might be played off against the Seljuk Turks.

Furthermore the Kingdom of Armenian Cilicia is close by and is equally threatened by the Turks. A final, but dangerous option remains. Fostering good relations with the great Princes and Kings of Europe could resolute in a Crusade coming to the aid of the Rhomaioi - the Romans, but the same Crusaders might decide to seize the Holy Land for themselves. With a strong leadership and just a little bit of luck the power and glory of Caesar and Augustus might be reclaimed.

The Roman army of the 11th century has a wide range of units ranging from simple spearmen to the mighty Klibanophoroi and Kataphraktoi. Although the Rhomaioi possesses some of the most powerful units of the Early Era these units are very expensive. Thus a choice must be made for the Roman armies: a few elite, nearly unstoppable, units that run the risk of be overwhelmed or many lower quality units that cannot be totally relied upon to hold the battle line.

Mercenaries were a predominant feature of Roman armies of the period mainly recruited from the west and North. Examples include Venetians, Saxons, Franks, Cumans, Alans and Serbians. An elite unit worthy to mention is the Varangian Guard, basically Viking and Saxon axemen re-organised and trained in Constantinople, they rode to battle but fought on foot.

Historically the Rhomaioi did not fare very well during the Early Era. They made little gain in retaking Anatolia. The Empire's relations with the Crusaders that came to help were also uncomfortable and near the end of the period the Roman capital Constantinople was sacked by Crusaders after a pay dispute and a Latin Empire was formed, for some time competing the Roman Empire. Surpassing the historical achievement of the Roman Empire is simple in goal, but difficult in execution. Anatolia should be re-conquered and of course the capital of Constantinople must be protected at all costs.
Note: Seems like this one didn't get updated. I must've reset it to the old version during bug hunting. Darn

The Caliphate of Egypt (Salah ad Din's Domain)
It's been almost a hundred year since the coming of the Franks. And what has happened? We have lost our holy city, we have lost the fertile plains around it, and we have lost many good men in trying to retake it. But now, the tables are turning. Our good Sultan Salah-ad-din has united Syria and Egypt, and he has built a formidable army to reconquer these vile Franks. We have already retaken the holy city, but there is more trouble coming.

A new, young, king from the west, known as "Richard the Lionhearted" has landed in Acre with his army. He must be stopped! If he regains Jerusalem, then what shall become of our empire? No, we must defeat him. With cunning tactics we can outmanouvre his large army, and our archers can rain death down upon them. The time of the Cross is over; the time of the Crescent has come!

The Plantagenet Dynasty (Kingdom of England/Angevin Empire)
The sun rises over a noisy Acre. Not that long ago, Richard "The Lionhearted" Plantagenet, King of England and lord of Anjou, Normandie, Bretagne and Guyenne, directs the packing of the army for march towards Jerusalem. He and the French King, Phillippe II, had started this Crusade, but due to a dispute between Richard and Phillipe, the French king and his forces quit the field. Now, Richard stands alone against the might of the Egyptian Sultanate. Will he be able to capture the Holy City and to add a new title to his already-long list; "King of Jerusalem"?

It has been over a 100 years since the conquest of England by William the Conqueror. Now, the house of Anjou (Plantagenet) rules England and Normandy, and because of intermarriage, also a larger part of France than the French king himself! But this doesn't mean you're safe...
The Welsh are certain to rise up against you, and the English have become weary of serving as the Plantagenet's personal cash cow. But after all, isn't that what those filthy Anglo-Saxons are good for? They should be happy to be able to serve your glorious empire! Don't make the mistake to think that the Plantagenet dynasty views itself as English! Yes, it's their largest possession, but the court speaks (and will speak for the coming 3 centuries) French and resides in France itself. Next to the English, there's the Scottish, who still roam their lands with large armies. Then there is the French king himself, Phillippe. Phillippe is a young, capable king, who's determined to resecure France for the House of Capet. He is supported by the Spanish kingdoms, and should you want to defeat this alliance, you yourself might want to secure alliances. Perhaps the Holy Roman Empire is a worthy candidate? As long as they don't get slaughtered in a "Battle of Bouvines" (like what historically happened), you can pincer France and proclaim yourself king of France and England! And after that, what would stop you to go even further?

    The Kingdom of Aragon
Aragon has grown much in the past few decades. Under the strong leadership of King Alfonso II, Aragon has made significant inroads against the Moorish taifa states, strengthening the Reconquista movement. Not only this, but Aragon also has eyes on territories north of the Pyrenees, in Southern France.

Aragon is small compared to its more powerful neighbors, but and alliance with Castile would be very helpful in taking down the Moors in Iberia. Southern France is also a vulnerable target, as France has larger problems to face. You could also take to the seas and conquer the islands of the Mediterranean to enhance your economy, or and then waste all of it on a fruitless Crusade. It is your call, my Lord.

    Grand Duchy of Poland

The Polish were born out of the unification of the Slavic tribes stretching from the Oder to the Bug, and from the Baltic Sea to the Carpathian Mountains. Poland evolved from a tribal Slavic state build around the Drużyna system, in which the king paid for his retinues equipment, into a feudal state formed around the noble's manor and his dependancy upon the king.

The founder of the Piast dynasty, Mieszko I, was the driving force behind forging the new country. His son Bolesław I was the first to gain the crown in 1025, but Mieszko II led the country into less successful wars with its powerful neighbors; the Kievan Rus' and the Holy Roman Empire. While his successor Kasimir I restructured the economy and military system, a Czech invasion pillaged the capital of the weakend country, annexed Śląsk and left Poland in a state of devestation.

The year is 1191, and high Duke Casimir II the Just rules Poland. He is a very capable ruler, who has succeeded in building up Polish power and is poised to extend it beyond her traditional boundaries.

However, Poland does face some threats. The Holy Roman Empire is looming nearby in the West, as is the fledgling Kingdom of Bohemia. The Teutonic Knights are prepared to expand into the Baltic in the North, and who knows how powerful they may become if they can consolidate their holdings. Meanwhile, the Rus to the East seek to expand, and you must be quicker if you hope to stand against them.

    The Siculo-Normans
The Kingdom of Sicily is in the thick of the Crusades. With the creation of the Principality of Antioch by Bohemund of Taranto, Sicily has been tied to the major wars occurring in the Holy Land for some time now. The king, Tancred, has a few problems of his own, as his later reign became troubling. He was an illegitimate prince, and he spent most of his time fighting to maintain his legitimacy.

The Kingdom of Sicily starts out in an advantageous position. It is in an economically rich location, right in the middle of the Mediterranean. Its Northern border is fairly secure as the Holy Roman Empire has larger problems to deal with. Antioch is going to be difficult to protect with the meteoric rise of Saladin in Egypt and the ambition of Levon of Armenia, but your ally Richard of England is present in the Holy Land and can help you in your struggle there. A possible avenue of expansion is the territory of the rapidly declining Roman Empire to the east, as more and more Romans fall to the Turks.
But all of these advantages prove difficult to hold, as crisis now strikes: the Holy Roman Emperor Friedrich, is on your borders! Should the Normans defeat him, what would prevent them from going even further than Rome?

III. - The Features + Info

    A bit of info:
    1. To recruit the late-game units, like plate-armoured knights, you have to upgrade the jousting field (of the "Feudalisation"-tree). To do this, you'll first have to build the 2nd tier of the "Enhancement"-tree (I believe it was Law, or something like that. First tier is Agriculture).
    2. The background script needs to be activated once you start a campaign. At the start of the campaign, the advisor will pop-up and should go away immediately. If she doesn't, click here portrait to let her disappear. Most of the time this means a script error.
    3. In order to load a game, you'll need to shut down the background script. To do so, press "Esc" and click on the question mark. The advisor will pop-up. You can now safely load a game or start a new campaign.

    Here's a screenshot of plate-armoured knights:

    IV. - The FAQ
Q: What is Chivalry - Total War: Fall of the Cross & Rise of the Crescent?
A: It's some kind of submod for the original Chivalry - Total War, which was set during the start of the High Middle Ages (1080-1220). Or at least, it was *intended* to be a submod. It turned out to be a complete new mod, closely resembling what it would have been liked if the original ChivTW team went on and created a High Era campaign. FCRC runs from 1191 (the Third Crusade, with the famed Salah ad Din (Saladin) and Richard the Lionhearted) to 1315 (some random date I picked). In this mod, we've added a script which does all kinds of neat things (), a new Teutonic Order campaign which will KICK THE LIVING HELL OUT OF YOU and of course lots of other stuff like new and reworked units, a new Italian faction, etc.

Q: Can i have the original Chivalry and FCRC installed at the same time, and how?
A: Running parallel ChivTW "vanilla" and ChivTW-FCRC campaigns is no problem. Open the RTW folder where you have installed the Chivalry modfolder, change the name of the modfolder, before you overwrite eventually with one of the both version installments. The ChivTW modfolder version you wanna play must call Chivalry, the other modfolder is then a renamed backup and makes no harm. This way you can easily switch between the both versions.
This instruction above is valid until FCRC has its own modfolder name like ie. "fcrc" (atm. both ChivTW versions share the modfolder name "chivalry").

Q: The resolution is wrong/The mod doesn't fill the screen/I can only see half the screen/etc
A: Only thing I can say is: delete you preferences.txt file. It's in Chivalry/preferences. If that doesn't do it, it's simply not the mod's fault.

Q: I have installed the mod, but when I try to launch a campaign it just crashes back to the single player menu.
A: right-click your shortcut, select "properties" and add -show_err in the "target" line. Try to launch a campaign again, then exit the game. You should get an error. Report that error to me, and we'll see what we can do.
    Ask away!

Congratulations on the release! Been following this one in the last couple of months.
A bit surprised to see that there isn't Lithuania as a faction - always thought that if you're going to add the Teutonic Order, the lithuanians would also have their own faction, and not just being represented by rebels, even if they might be über-powerful; and that you would use the Great Seljuks slot for them, for example, instead of having the Abbasid Caliphate (which btw could use another faction symbol, as well as Novgorod, but these are just details ).
    Anyway, many thanks for this!

You have a good eye - Novgorod, The Lithuanians (indeed switched with the Abbasids - a placeholder faction-, the reason why I didn't make a new symbol) and some new stuff concerning the area have already been planned out for a patch

As you can probably understand, there is a point at which you should quit while you're a head ahead before a project becomes too big to handle (at least when taking in mind the fact that this is my first modding project - evah). I'm taking a small break from FCRC (except for answering questions, of course) of a few weeks (2-3) at max. I'll take this time to start organizing RoPIII and do some extensive RTRVII testing, as well as to write my tutorials for the FCRC team (if I may name them as such ), which I'll also release in the Workshop

Well once there's a front page announcement there will be rep from others (hopefully). heh

It may be that FCRC is kinda buried (in a section within a section). It might be better to have it in the main chiv forum (advertised as a Chiv High Era campaign), to get more attention. Just my two cents.
