Man, these features and units look so gorgeous. Looks like RTW will be history when M2TW will come out.

Do I hear Sonic here?!?
Anyway. Great update and nice infos.
From the pride and arrogance of the Romans nothing is sacred. But the vindictive gods are now at hand. On this spot we must either conquer, or die with glory (Boudiccas Speech, Tacitus, Annals, XIV, 35)
under Patronage of Emperor Dimitricus, Granddaughter of the Black Prince.
I think the new animations will be a good adition. RTW's graphical engine was certainly lackluster when it came to them (and skins...). The endless falling on the ground, and standing up again in a strange way of the soldiers in combat really ruined the feel of an epic battle.Originally Posted by Boudicca

Back in RTW, units didn't really have much influence in their movement. Falling down didn't translate to anything except getting hit and having your armor save you (I think), and unit's did very jerky hits and parries, sometimes when the enemy's weapon was not even reaching them.
What I assume it means, but will not deliever in full, is something akin to more 'intimate' RTS games - combat that makes it look like it's a single unit vs a single unit, not one group of soldiers fighting the same 'group', while not really aiming for any specific foe. They did this to an extent in RTW, but it was very rough.
What i really want to see though is screenshots of the campaign map.......
I think they changed the units from 200 to 250. Or am I just crazy?
is it me or dose this guy look like Othello

Looks more like Sinbad to me! Not the explorer, the b list actor/comedian.
