Default The French Revolution (in french)

    I found this on youtube.
Unfortunately it's in french, but the first part is subtitled. I am no french speaker, I just know some words. It's still quite enjoyable to watch though.

Most suitable old chap, most excellent indeed!
Somehow, I doubt it was really raining that day when little Robespierre gave Louis XVI his address. Just goes to show, the schoolboy your horse slops mud on today may chop your head off tomorrow!

They made us watch this in History class. Our teacher (and I guess myself too) really felt sorry for the commander of the Bastille. Poor fellow didn't stand a chance..."Ils retirent les cannons" - "C'est pour les charger!"

Why do you say unfortunately Old Chap?

Is this the French Revolution or not?

Great movie, my teachers showed us this movie during our History class, with some frenchies "famous" actors, like François Cluzet (as Camille Desmoulins in the movie).

The word 'unfortunately' means here that I am not very able to understand french I know a little bit but not enough to understand, for instance, this movie.

And thanks Maréchal Lannes for showing us the english version.
