    Nice!

I've been in contact with GrnEyedDvl and he will be auditing the lessons. I'm planning to launch it once I have at least the first three lessons finished, and enough interest. Right now I have finished two lessons.

    Ok, great!

If anyone else would like to, please post so I can get something of an idea as to how many people there'll be. I see five "Yes" votes, but only three posts.

I'd definitely be all up for it. But does it have to be visual basic? Apparently its the most bleurgh language you can learn, according to the programming crowd at my school. Perhaps Java? As it is the most used language in the world. But obviously it hangs on what you do/do not know
    Count me in anyway!

    Well, three things.

    1. I don't know much Java.
    2. Visual Basic is the easiest language to learn, and by no means is it to be laughed at. It's so simple, it's like tying your shoes.
    3. The purpose of this course is not to necessarily teach you a programming language, but more to teach about programming, how to program, and the concepts used to program. We will merely be using Visual Basic as a tool to teach this, though the later lessons will focus more on Visual Basic since it's a fantastic groundwork to learn about Visual Basic.

Now all I need to do is finish Lesson 3, and we should be all set to go.

I am not optimistic about your chances of getting a response from GED.

I already have. Granted it was to days ago, so it might take a day or two for him to set up a sub-board. I could always ask a different hex member though.

OK, great! It wont start until sometime next week, most likely. I still have to finish the third lesson, and I've got plenty of homework piled on my shoulders, but never fear, I refuse to let the time invested in the first two lesson go to waste.

I've been learning a lot of java lately. Dunno how similar they are to each other but perhaps I will follow along.

I totally agree. I learned visual basic application coming with MS excel on my own (very easy to learn just with the tutorials), and VB adds another dimension to the spreadsheet. It's amazing what can be done when the two are combined (parametrable text generator/editor being the obvious ones).
