    Default hMod

hMod has been updated so where it will work for us. But, I have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Something about a project in order to add minecraft_server.jar to the class. I am not sure how this works, anyone who wants to take a stab at it, and tell me if they can get it running, let me know and I'll start using it. Here ya go:

And here's the wiki. Look towards the compiling part:

This is the part you have to worry about

    Existing Installation

If you have previously been using just minecraft_server.jar or .exe and wish to upgrade to hey0's mod it's very simple, and if you have llamacraft / runecraft installed no fear; Same thing, installing hey0's mod into this is very simple.
Take your pre-existing minecraft_server.jar, not the .exe (The executable won't work with hey0 so just use your world folder), and your world folder. Mine was simply named World. Inside of hey0's folder, there are folders bin and src. You want to put your minecraft_server.jar and world folder inside of the bin folder. Then, inside the bin folder, run the server_nogui file that is appropriate for your OS. (.bat for 32-bit Windows, _x64.bat for 64-bit Windows, and .sh for Mac).
Before you run anything make sure the files are in the extracted folder like so:
Also, the other files from the archive should also be in this folder, they are not shown here for simplicity.

    • <hey0_mod_folder>/
      • bin/
        • minecraft_server.jar
        • <your world folder>/

After you have done this, just start up either the .bat or .sh file depending on your operating system and everything should run smoothly.
Don't worry about the compiling part, that's for translating (for lack of a better word) the source code into bytecode which runs on the java virtual machine.

Problem is, Dewy, that my previous version of hMod, that I have, is all screwed up. So I can't do that. It won't work. I have to start from scratch.

The person who wrote that guide is extremely confusing in the way he writes. When it says existing installation it means an existing map(not an existing version of hmod), the other way will create a new map.

Ah, okay, so I'd just take the compiling download (There are two, compiled and source) and stick it in a folder with minecraft_server.jar and my world and play? Or do I need to get the source stuff too? I'm slightly confused because this has a lot of different files than the other version.

Yes all you need is the compiled version. Just move the minecraft_server.jar and the world folder inside of the hmod bin folder.

Got it man, thanks. Transferring the newest version of the map now. Server will be down until then. Should be around 2 hours (Gotta delete another version that I had runnin on the hmod server). Once that is done we will have colors and all that good stuff. I'll need the new guys to either post here or PM me so I can add them to the lists

That would be me with Outer Heaven, but as I am now a member of the Brotherhood (=gold btw) I no longer require the green colour.

Personally, i'm quite happy with TPing, aslong as it's not used to TP into enemy territory, or to run from a fight.
