    @Duke Serkol
    I'd imagine she might have some sort of enhanced strength, considering she was able to lift entire bridges in TP (though you could blame that on the Fused Twilight). Zant also seemed to have no problem swinging the sword into the Stallord's head (again, could be attributed to 'magic'). Maybe the Twili just naturally have better muscles because of the alien environment they come from?

    @quenya
    Yeah I'd like to have it in the next patch but so far I can't seem to get any videos to work in the game other then the main menu. If anyone has any idea what's wrong or can get videos to work please let me know.

    Nephalim, you appear to have made quite a splash over at Reddit (where I stumbled on the intro vid of your mod)

    All I can say is this is incredibly cool. You have outdone yourself. Thank you for your dedication! I hope you continue to be as productive in the coming months! (I can't wait for a grand campaign!)

    I do have one question/suggestion... Any possibility that the Garo ninjas from Majora's mask will make an appearance? They would make an awesome race, but I'd settle for some Garo recruitable mercs.

    I think Zant didn't touch the sword, did he? He levitated it like Midna with the bridge. One of them was using Ganon's power, the other the Fused Shadow, yes (Midna's piece was supposedly all the magic the Twili had left after it was sealed by the Gods... I think).
    So long as you throw in a "The sword is magical and therefore weights nothing" bit in her background I think it should be no issue.
    Though I never figured her to be the zweihander type. I'd have thought, like Zelda, she would go for a thin rapier-like sword.

    The Garo should in fact either appear as an Ikana unit or Mercenary. If the Ikana get replaced (as it becomes increasingly likely with the approaching release of Skyward Sword) then they'll most likely show up as mercs.

    I say screw Skyward Sword, I doubt that it will introduce anything more than ugly versions of the existing races that could be used for a faction. I say keep Ikana, and throw in anything usable from SS for mercs.

    @Eleos
    I'm glad someone posted the video on that website. It seems to have gotten a lot of attention.
    As for the Garos they are currently planned as a unit for Ikana.

    @Duke Serkol
    I guess I always just sort of pictured Midna as the kind that would use overwhelming brute force rather then finesse. After all she did try to impale a massive spear into Ganondorf's face.

    @Ethereal Lancer 916
    Hey now there could be some good stuff in Skyward Sword.

    Until then though... it's Fairy (aka little tiny dots on the battlefield) time:
    Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Sprytes (Pink Fairies)
    Perhaps the most common of Fairies, it is believed this is the earliest stage of a fairy's life. These small pink beings are very fragile and are often mistaken for other luminescent insects. While individually passive, when enticed they can gather in seemingly endless swarms as they poke and rip apart the aggressor. Many soldiers have been awed by the glow of a Fairy swarm flying towards them before realizing these tiny creatures were chasing them out of their territory with claws and teeth.

    Wisps (Green Fairies)
    While not nearly as common as Pink Fairies, the green variety is usually seen at night dancing in the wind in the remote wilderness. Green Fairies are notably more aggressive then their pink counterparts, and are able to discharge small bolts of energy over a short distance. In the rare instance that a large swarm of Green Fairies gather any enemy should be fearful of being slowly shocked to death by thousands of sparks.

    Pixies (Violet Fairies):

    Perhaps one the rarest of the small fairies, the violet breed has almost reached a mythical standing in Hylian culture. Only several cases have been mentioned in recorded history, and none have ever been caught. This is perhaps because Violet Fairies are very aggressive and can discharge a stream of energy in short bursts that can maim or even kill its target. This magic has often lead to them being labeled as evil or cursed fairies, but evil or not any soldier should be very fearful of these beings should they gather into a swarm.

    I've just discovered this mod via Kotaku and it looks stunning congrats @UndyingNephalim.

    @Ethereal Lancer 916 Considering SS is set before Hyrule was even a kingdom then its bound to present possibilities for new units or factions.... the bird riders at least present one unique unit to consider I'd say....

    @UndyingNephalim Btw have you considered including the Hooded (Jawa) dudes from the Oracle games as mercs/traders??

    when i look back at the beggining of the mod i see not even 3quarters of the people from the beggining even post anymore, an the differences on your ideas now an back then are very different, i remember your hylian infantry used to be Royal Infantry

    The Ruto (descendants of the Zora in) Wind Waker don't appear to be mentioned anywhere are they intentionally not planned to keep in with the TP timeline or why have they not been mentioned as a possible addition??
    Oh and this might sound stupid initially but Tingle is known to have a number of followers.... what's to stop a Tingle merc force??

    About the new Intro cinematic, I have no word to describe it. I just loved it. I wish I knew how to make videos myself.
    And about those fairies, I don't expect much of them, but those fluorescent balls will add a touch of beauty and poesy into this blood bath

    I'm still not sure how you can mod better and faster than entire teams of modders.

    When you're done with this I've still got some bad ideas...

    I'm liking the look of the fairies so far. Tell me, are the Wisps pretty much the same as my Will-'o'-The-Wisps in that they have a limited number of short ranged shots before moving into combat (like Hastati from Roman Total War)? As so far it seems as if you've used my ideas for names and such, which is lovely ^^

    Flee! Flee before the shiny dots of DOOM!

    Also,

    @Redmagpie-if you youtube Nephalim's earlier Youtube commentaries, the 'Jawas' WERE in the game as a merc; they've just been removed temporarily. Also, the idea for a Tingle merc unit is very original. But I think I might have caused a serious brain injury picturing an army of Tingles.

    The Horror.....The HORROR!
    "You know, for you, I guess that might have been something. Bunch of goblins come out of nowhere trying to give you a welcoming gift of stabby death, Ted crashing a building, me delivering electric death to all of the above.....don't worry, though. You'll get used to it. I mean, look at me; this is just tuesday to me now."

    ".....But it's monday...."

    "Well, yes. Ted crashed the building earlier than he usually does."

    -Damien Arn, angry SOB, chatting with the new guy.

    From a sprite comic I might never actually publish anywhere.

    Oh, cool I always liked those guys (called Subrosians btw) and they (like Tingle) certainly have a unique look against all those armoured characters....
    Re Tingel Army: Tingle, Elbow, David Jr and 'the other one' would each lead a colour coded force and they would have the unique benefit of causing the opposing force to lose money every time they successfully killed an opposing unit..... They would specialise in a bomb unit and an airborne (via balloon) aerial bomber force also xD

    Good point. Well, like I said, just mention that the sword is magically light and there'll be no issues ^_^

    Great job on the Fairies, though I can't help but wish they'd have tiny spears (plus feet and a few more fingers).
    Maybe the Wisps would have been better off purple and male, since that was the color of Tatl's brother, Tael (male Pixies would be so very wrong). But it's of little importance.

    ...hold on, I just realized something.
    How in the world are the Fairies and Kokiri not cordial factions to each other??

    At the moment they're not, sadly. I'd much rather have them join the fray than the Ikana since we already have an undead faction (and especially since the timeline is no concern at all here, whereas different dimensions should be)

    Actually Duke Serkol raises a very important point which was briefly touched upon very early on in the thread; Where are the fairies in the Kokiri faction, surely they should have at least one unit of basic fairies as part of their force?

    Edit: Also regarding Tingle......... only add his regiment as the very last faction added to the game. There are far more interesting and exciting units and characters that should have time and effort devoted to them before Tingle.

    If anyone has ever played Third Age Total War, I think it would be a fantastic idea to have a side campaign like they have the fellowship campaign where you play as Link. Then you could walk around doing independent missions and gaining and losing troops just like the fellowship. Could have an overarching theme like that of raising a resistance force to defeat ganon, and you have a fantastic side campaign. Of course, should only be worked on once the actual game is done. Speaking of the actual campaign, is anyone currently working on a campaign map?

    THIRD AGE: TOTAL WAR ROCKS!!!!!
