I'm not sure where I'll put her on the list at the moment. I'll put her up as soon as I know how she'll make her appearance in the game.
Which I believe means "Stuff from Skyward Sword won' show up in this project until after Neph has played the game"

Well for one these are ghostly phantoms and not durable melee units. That and they can teleport all over the map so they are better are messing up enemy movements (Imagine the frustration of an enemy player right clicking on the Phantoms to attack and then they teleport to the other side of the enemy and their charge basically is completely ruined). The Golems are basically all purpose soldiers in terms of their roles, the Phantoms are more of a support unit.

I think my record was with the Darknuts where I finished four in one day, but that was kind of easy since the base model was pretty much the same for each one. The same can be said about the fairies, most of them use the same base model so it's just a matter of adding things and changing textures.

    @Opus
Anti Fairies have been on the Stalfos list for a bit now, those pretty much act much like Bubbles I suppose. The only problem is there's no way to add in flame effects to any units in the game. I'm really not sure why CA allowed for torches but then no means of attaching sprites to joints.

On another note, has anyone had any luck getting intro videos to work with mods? I've been at it for almost a week now and I a still cant get the intro videos to start up with the game...

how about staflos that throw bubbles. then they would have flame and if you make them long range then they would be flying kamikaze skulls.

EDIT: it would also give them some much needed range

Since I'm too lazy to hunt it down, would you mind reposting the list of "Link concepts by faction"? I'd like to brainstorm for some of the factions not yet filled.

Well I haven't tested anything, but I did find the vanilla video, data/fmv/faction/game intro.

If you can just find a program that can convert regular video files into .bik then I don't see how it couldn't work. Just make a video and then convert+rename.

    EDIT: Aha! Found one: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Rad-Video-Tools

That idea might actually be crazy enough to work...

    @Kimarous
Granted the list still is not final:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Hylians: Knight Link
    Gerudo:
    Goron: Goron Link
    Zora: Zora Link
    Kokiri: Young Link
    Gohma:
    Ordonians: Link mounted on Epona
    Lanayru: Zora Armor Link
    Deku Tribes: Deku Scrub Link
    Stalfos: Undead Link
    Moblin:
    Sheikah: Dark Link
    Darknuts: Magic Armor Link
    Lizalfos:
    Labrynna: Link mounted on Dimitri
    Fairies: Rod of Seasons Link
    Ikana: Hero's Shade
    Twili: Wolf Link
    Wizzrobe: Mage Link

    @Nosjack
I've actually already converted it to a .bik and placed everything in the proper folders. The vanillia intro won't work for me either when I put it in my mod.

Bubbles have also used smoke and haze to cloud themselves.

Can you add smoke to units?

I have been thinking about more units I'd like to see:

Are levers being planned as a peahat like unit?

Also, are Gibdos slated for the Stalfos faction?

He's AFK at the moment. Don't expect him to be back soon, he's microwaving some KFC for a WoW party or something.

Anyways, these faeries are actually turning out to be fairly... intimidating, like those big colorful mantis bastards in Oblivion's Shivering Isles expansion. *Brrrr.* I hated those things.

*EDIT* Hey Neph, if you want some ideas with the Knight Link idea I'd be glad to draw something up for you and send it to you VIA Deviantart.

    Hmm...

Gerudo: "Armos" Link (seeing as how he's used Armos weaponry in Soul Calibur 2)?
Gohma: Link using Bomblings (spider-like bombs)?
Moblins: Giant Mask Link (similar stature to Ganon himself?)
Lizalfos: Since nobody else is using it... Four Swords Link?
Fairies: Why "Rod of Seasons"? Wouldn't "Great Fairy Sword" fit better?

I think they'd fit better with Ikana... dead civilization and whatnot. Besides, the Stalfos already have the ReDeads, the Gibdo's less bandaged counterpart.

I think the gibdos are already an alternative skin for the redead.
And for the bubble, you could just put a fairy-like haze around them, until you find something better.

And the phantoms of tarm somehow made me think about minecraft's endermen

Ah so they just happen to look similar but have a different purpose, gotcha.

That's because they ARE Bubbles, they were just misnamed in English guidebooks.

The Gerudo have IronKnuckles, not Armos. So far, Armos making as been associated with Minish and Gorons and implied as something the Hylian, Wind Tribe and Oocca did as well. The Armos set of SCII comes from Goron made Armos.

    QUOTE]
I feel that the Gohma should have an infected link- not somthing cannon, but what would have happened if they had gotten the better of him (Similar to the undead link). Perhaps have a twisted looking link with spider legs and driping fangs. (resemling link crossed with a drider from D&D? http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...ider&FORM=IGRE)

I think that moblins should have a link on pigback, as he is in the TP game at points. It just seems more moblinish than a giant link

Lizalfos... Yah got me there. But I think they should have a version of him tied in with their culture, not somone that random.

Faires? Fierce Deity Link. Plain and simple. It goes along with the whole Unmached magical prowess/Unworldly and strange demeanor thing, and because the god is bound into the mask he wouldnt be so overpowered.

Oh, alternative idea for Gohma Link... how about his Minish Cap form? Here's my reasoning: the Gohma have a notable ambush unit that digs underground, notable enough that they already have a hero version featuring infested Mido, who remains above ground. Couldn't Minish Cap Link follow the same principle but shrink down along with his troops?

OOH! Ooh ooh ooh! Epiphany! I've come up with the PERFECT Gerudo version of Link!

Silver/Golden Gauntlets Link! Instead of fighting with a sword and shield, Link instead uses his super-strength gauntlets to transform himself into a one-man catapult, tossing gigantic rocks / pillars(?) at his enemies!
