Throughout the history of Krynn many Dwarven kingdoms have risen to greatness, Kal-Thax, Thorin, Zhakar, and Thoradin have been among the names praised by bards and minstrels of Dwarven lore from centuries past. But none can compare to the might of the everlasting kingdom of Thorbardin and the realms under the great mountain Cloudseeker. Dwarves from all the clans live here, the Theirwar original dwellers of this land and the only Dwarves willing to touch magic. The Daergar Dwarves dark dwellers skilled in missions of stealth and brutality. The Daewar secretive but excellent merchants. The Klar, unpredictable and wild due to their past attempts to use tamex, or quicksilver, these are dwarves you do not want to fight, or fight against. The Hylar are the most well known of all the clans under the mountain, rulers of all the clans for centuries, they dwell in the great Life-Tree built out of a great stalactite. The Neidar are a different matter altogether from the other dwarves, these are the hill dwarves, outcast from under the mountain, they fought against those under the mountain in the devastating Dwarfgate War.
The fortress of Garnet-Thax will fall under your control, split from the mountain of Cloudseeker by the New Sea, also known as Kayolin or Kaolyn, this nation is alone in a field of potential enemies, a bastion against the tides of darkness.
You take command of the mighty forces of those under the mountain, the placement of the towns may be something to debate, but as to accurately show the Dwarven nation we had to spread out the towns outside of the actual location of the kingdom under the mountain. During the War of the Lance canon, the Dwarves stayed out of main conflict until it was found that some dwarves were scheming with the Dragonarmies to take over their underground kingdom. They then went to war, sweeping their mountains clear of all enemy forces. Will you follow this path, or we the aggressor and strike out against all other nations that challenge you?
