So far in May (I hope), it is 95% done but I don't have been modifying ETW a lot last times.
allright, one question with probably obvious awnser, no. But van you make bridges in the game?
Napoleon total war my modsSpoiler Alert, click show to read:
Sweden is underrestimated! Sweden is underrestimated!
Awsome job man!!!! thank you alot !!! keep up the good work!!!!
I hope someday there are regions in theese parts of the map!!!!
so, maybe, i can play as brazil and strike back on portugal...... or unify latin america on an huge empire ...
ps . sorry about my english!!!
Sambugaro, so far this is only a cosmetic mod, as last I checked we still lack the knowledge of how to add towns, resources, regions etc to the map. It'll come hopefully, but it'll be a while sadly.
i know its only a cosmetic thing teleros .... that's why i said someday ...anyways... this mod its awsome...... and i guess its the first step to build full playable world map !!!
why its so hard to mod this aspects of the game?? its the lack of modding tools??
i used to play oblivion and the possibility mods added to the game are endless..... every game should have a modding communit like that
Here is the preview of what the next version shall look like, see the new textures in north South America and Asia
Good stuff Fortes . Damn but I wish we could start adding stuff to it already.
Good news, it's ready for upload, will do it as soon as possible (most likely Friday).
Edit: Also I want to announce that west US coast will come next.
Great news! Did you do the Himalayas as mountains or just the texture?
Just the textures, for some reason every time I add a new height map the game crashes...
I'm not fully aware of whats required to modify the map, but i would assume it's just modifying textures in a program like photoshop? If so I could help.
If for some reason I couldn't help, but you do use photoshop for the textures i would recommend using content aware fill and the patch tool to move textures around, and make sure you feather the selection before doing so.
If you do that, you can easily copy and paste the textures and make them look seamless with little to no repeating textures depending on how much time you put into it.
I edit it with gimp but it's a kind of hard to do it since the map is really really huge, 8Gb in total as so you need to spit it into various small pieces as the maximum that gimp seems to support is 1GB and hardly.
CS5's file size limit is 4 exabytes (1 exabyte is one billion gigabytes)
Lemme download the file you've already uploaded and play around with it to see just what can be done in PS
Edit: A trick I use when opening large files in an image editing program is to use the program Game Booster, which closes any non-essential programs running in windows to free up ram. It was originally made to play PC games on higher settings (which is what i usually do) but it also works for anything else thats memory intensive

Will try it, can you give me the download link please?
Edit: another free program thats great for gaming and anything ram intensive is memory mechanic by iolo.
Memory mechanic defrags ram thats built up whenever you open and close program. Between the two of them you can gain an additional 300-500MB of ram
I should make note these are all legal and the links I gave you are the developers websites where they're free to download.
