Cant start Roman campaign with BI

I installed this mod a couple of weeks ago and played with Sparta. I just installed BI too because it of naval invasions. I start the launcher, select Rome as faction and the BI.exe as engine. Game starts up fine. I choose Play Roman Campaign. It says in the bottom ''click here to start Roman Campaign.................'' so I select it and press the arrow. I get the message ''please choose an item from the list''.

when I close the game after that I get an error about start date of the campaign (cant take a screenie because I have to click OK on the error first because I cant do anything else).

OS is windows 7, no steam install and path is J:\Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War

Couldnt find this anywhere with search so sorry if it has been posted already
