    EDIT - tried from autosave again, first time failed with new error, second time went to next turn successfully.

    I had same problem as above. It's not the 1.4.3 patch. It's the English translation problem.

    I installed 1.4.3 (without translation) on top of the full english 1.4.2 and i can't start campaign either, it kicks me back to the first screen... This is a killer i can only play 1.4.2 till this is fixed

    • What year are you playing when CTD occurred?: Not certain, turn 16 i think, during first siege of Kislev by Tzeentch.
    • What faction do you play?: Kislev
    • What faction is creating the CTD:
    • Briefly describe the issue and add comments. (Be specific and detailed!): The first siege of Kislev by two of Tzeentch three armies. I've alot of reinforcements which i cant use because i've turned ai controled off. Both besieging armies were through the walls, one army is nearly destroyed. The other army attacked and then out of nowere there was a unspecified error and the game crashed. It looked like some of my men were hit by on of the hell canons(that flash specific for those canons was the last thing i saw), but those were still outside the walls, there is no way those could have hit my men.

    Hey guys loving this mod very much however persistent bugs and crashes is really taking its toll on me therefore I come to post on the forums to seek much needed expert help.
    I'll list the problem down...


    • Name of your issue "Unspecified Error" usually during end turn around AI auto turn phase.
    • Is CTD repeatable? Yes, however sometimes it fixes itself but it is a re occurring problem
    • Did CTD occur during the Strategy map
    • What is you operating system Windows Vista
    • What language version of the game do you have? 1.4.4 with English 1.4.4 patch
    • What year are you playing when CTD occurred? Turn 4 going to turn 5.
    • What faction do you play? Ostermark
    • What faction is creating the CTD Rebels or maybe Dwarves during end turn phase I believe
    • Briefly describe the issue and add comments: "Unspecified Error game will now exit" message during auto turn end phase.

    Hoping for a solution, anyway thanks for this great game again guys. Cheers.

    EDIT: Solved it, after checking the log again I decided to make a small change to my empire before clicking end turn. I stopped the construction of a temple to sigmar in a settlement that I had just captured of the Dark Elves and it did prevent the CTD.

    I keep having this CTD fairly regularly, and every time the log mentions something about "LTGD: number of invasion targets: '11".

    I can reload and sometimes it goes through without event, sometimes CTD again, but then third time it works.

    Just an observation:


    I am noticing that BAI for siege in 1.4.4 is different than in 1.4.2. In 1.4.4 there appears to be pathfinding issues. Orks besiege Karak Eight Peaks and I let them in and defend inner wall. Half of the army becomes stuck wandering around outside. They come nowhere near my army. They stay stuck to the far right side of the inner castle area. I had to go out and attack them. This has occurred twice already. This DID NOT occur when goblins where attacking me, only with Orks. I did not notice this in 1.4.2

    EDIT: Bah. I used 1.4.4 default warhammer.cfg and it had battle time limit = 1. This might have been the cause of the AI's odd behavior.

    • Name of your issue Vardek Crom and his auto-scripted armies have not spawned, yet I've received several messages telling me he is close, at the gates etc.
    • Is issue repeatable? We he is not there after using toggle_fow and I just got the 'he is at the gates be prepared' message
    • What year are you in? Roughly 35-40, whenever Vardek Crom is meant to turn up according to the script.
    • What faction do you play? Dwarves
    • Briefly describe the issue and add comments. After getting messages saying Vardek Crom was coming, at the gates blah blah I could not see him despite owning the area he usually spawns in so I used toggle_fow and he and his armies are nowhere to be seen.

    • Briefly describe the issue and add comments. (Be specific and detailed!): when i try to attack sven raspe (talabec general) in a night battle, the game is loading the battle and at ca 20% the game crashes.

    * What language version of the game do you have?: English translation 1.4.4, Cow 1.4.4
    * What year are you playing when CTD occurred?: 9

    * What faction is creating the CTD:my one during siege battle
    * Briefly describe the issue and add comments. (Be specific and detailed!): During the battle after about about 15 minutes game crashes with message "A fatal graphics error has occured and the game will be shut down..." dinf enclosed screen. I checked it about four times during first scripted battle for Bechafen. Even I lowered settings CTD still occured. I have very good PC with 4 cores so it's shouldn't be fault of it. Espacially that I haven't such message before - I'm playing with your mod since April 2010.

    I passed it after changing setting to med/low...weird

    it is PC problem, and if you didnt know M2 use only 1 core

    Yeah you wrote it some times ago I mentioned it only to show that I have good PC and there shouldn't be so error message. Anyway I'll check if my graphic card is broken down or there is something wrong with Bechafen map. Please check the screen..niece artefacts.

    What year are you playing when CTD occurred? Turn 4-10, depends of random chance and sometimes faction (Chaos crashes earlier)
    What faction do you play? Tried most (all evil ones), crashed all
    What faction is creating the CTD (if known, leave speculations to your comments)
    Briefly describe the issue and add comments. (Be specific and detailed!): After turn 4 I can expect every big battle to end with a CTD (after the battle, before I get to the Campaign map), after turn 6 I can expect every "End Turn" to end in a CTD during CPU

    The problem is CoW specific, can play vanilla and most other mods (although SS had a habit of mysteriously crashing too) without a single crash/bug. I run CoW from my "americas" map, with modified warhammer.cfg (Original CoW folder crashes on startup, log blames descr_projectile.txt, it looked clean, RedDwarf looked at it and said the same thing) Running it from "americas" allows it to start up, crashes repeatidly on Chaos Storm. I've done pretty much everything found in the Help forum, deleting even the string.bin files. Still all campaigns crash before I get 10 turns. I have Quad core if this helps anyone

    EDITIs there any way to bind a key to quicksave?

    What faction is creating the CTD (if known, leave speculations to your comments) it is after nurgle spawn, but when the rebel's have finished their move
