Wait a minute, is it needed to have Medieval 2 installed in Games? I have it in Program Files and it runs perfectly for me.

Nah that fine, mines installed in Program files too and I never have any problems.

You need to put the exe file, plus 5 bin files in the same folder and then double click exe and then the mod will start to install, please DISABLE your UAC

I've also just dl'd the Gamespot bin files, but haven't tried to install yet, so your advice is well timed. What, though, is UAC and how does one disable it? (All I can think of are all the boxes marked UAC in Doom 2!) I'm on WIndows 7, btw.

Wolfgrin,

UAC is User Access Control, its a MS program that stops you from potentially harming your PC.

If you click Windows Icon, bottom left, key the words 'User Access Control' in the search bar, then follow instruction, move slider down to bottom

CTD when loading, in the very first screen where appears the warrior with sword and the words "Stainless Steel 6.4".

I have followed the install instructions for 6.4 1:1 yet I have a slight problem. When I launch SS6.4 the opening screen "soldier with weapon with Stainless Steel 6.4 title" appears for one or two seconds and then just disappears without a trace. No error or anything like that, it just doesn't play.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

I have Win7 64 bit with picture guide followed.

I get the same thing. Think it might be the combined install because my title screen still says 6.3. I'm using XP btw.

Should there be any wars when you start the game in the 1100 campaign? I just re-installed SS and there is no wars expect against the rebels.

I know this question is probably asked a lot, sorry. But, it says on the first post that 6.3 and 6.4 are not save compatible. What does it does with the old saves? It deletes them? Makes them unreadeable? Is SS 6.4 in a totally different folder from 6.3 and therefore it doesnt ruin my old saves, just can't be used with them? Should I make a copy of the original SEGA folder before installing this?
