Stainless Steel 6.4 Released!

Hahahaha, 9 hours? Man, it took me a year to download Stainless Steel 6.1 on dial up(6.0 with patch). You aint got nothing to complain about XD For other mods, I just send memory sticks to my ladyfriend and get her to mail them back.

Just download ss6.3 first from μtorrent and then download ss6.4.
When i downloaded before some months (ss6.3) took me 4 hours (slow internet connection),but ss6.4 i downloaded at 15 minutes because i changed internet connection.

not trying to troll or anything, i dont want to post in the 6.4 thread because getting an awnser could take a good while. i downloaded all the necessary components for 6.3, but they are all BIN files that i cant open. if i try and do anything it suggests looking up on the internet to find a program. what do i do? and no this question is not on the F.A.Q. thread

Bin files can be mounted on a virtual drive. But IIRC there should have been a setup exe that came with the download.

Megaupload is being a real arse...it's a shame there is nowhere that you could have uploaded the entire thing in one file (the torrent isn't working for me).

i did...no one used it so the host deleted it...took me like 6 plus hours to upload....not doing it again to have it happen alll over. You can use my 2shared links from the release topic tho if megaupload isn't working.

My suspicion is that high-traffic-files are prone to deletion as the megaupload mirror got killed some time ago as well - so lack of use might not be the issue. 1-click hosters tend to delete SS files after a while, same hapened with rapidshare.

My suspicion is that high-traffic-files are prone to deletion as the megaupload mirror got killed some time ago as well - so lack of use might not be the issue. 1-click hosters tend to delete SS files after a while, same hapened with rapidshare.

yeah...the free hosters are annoying....(but its free ), but yeah too much, delete.....too little (aka not enough revenue for space used) delete....gotta hit thet middle sweet spot.

Can someone confirm how the guild system works now please? I'm trying to get priesty guild in Paris, and merchant in Rennes.

So far I've been offered Assassins, Thieves, Explorers, Blacksmith guild all in Paris and declined them all; I haven't even got any Inns or Assassins to affect assassin rep!

Can you have multiple guilds in your capital and that's it now, or?

bane has a custom campaign script submod in the submod section here that lets u take out parts of the campaign script (can increase turn time at the expense of some of the features of ss).

also, if you can, overclock you processor...this will most directly increase your turn time w/o losing stuff. Also if you have a single core stop all background process on your desktop.

Couple of questions though. Early/late era? What differences are there and can I change this setting after install? Also can I delete the .bin files after install because I want to conserve hard drive space?
