Thread: The foot general

    Default The foot general

I remembered in RSI we could train the Governors with infantries rather than the General with cavalries.
But I haven't seen them yet in RS II until now, are they still exist in this mod?

I believe only the Spartans have general units comprised of foot soldiers; all else are cavalry units (if I'm not mistaken).

yeah thats what I've noticed too, but does anyone know why the spartan bodyguard in the previews look differently then the ones in the game, because the ones in the preview look much more badass

It was decided that, while badass, we couldn't justify a unit of soldiers wearing Corinthian helmets in RS 2's timeframe, because by our start date (217BC) they had largely fallen into disuse.

The Corinthian-helmed bodyguards were put up for DL in this thread a while back. Click the Megaupload link in Siegfriedfr's post.

It'd be nice to have matching unit cards to go with them, though...

Should be, as you're simply making a cosmetic change and nothing else.

Yes, it's save-compatible. I've began campaigns with the default bodyguard and switched back and forth between them a number of times throughout.
