Role Playing Game Idea

I got this idea from the TWC RPG Vive le Empire. I was thinking that maybe we start our own RPG like that but base it during the French Revolution. It'd attract more attention to ROW and allow some pretty creative battles and campaigns.

Anyone like the idea?

Basically you create a character and you can hold different jobs and earn money in the game to buy things. You can rollplay events and fight out battles using Total War games or mods.

You have piqued my curiosity although I will admit I do NOT know what this RPG style will entail ROW, I mean you already command the army, navy, economics, and to a degree the cabinetry of your nation. Granted, in Empire or Napoleon you aren't the king per se, but you as the gamer pretty take the helm on any matters. Nonetheless, I AM DEFINITELY INTERESTED in finding out more of you idea so please elaborate!

The basic principle of these types of RPG's is that a large group of players form the government of a country.

They then make the decissions that effect the actual campaign.

Certain positions make certain decissions etc.

For instance the Minister of Finance would denote where the countries funds are allocated. etc

You can go really very much into detail, or leave it simple.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it meant rocket-propelled grenade idea. I thought it didn't fit in the French Revolution!

It wouldn't be modded in, I'd just need to ask a moderator how and if I could make an Total War-based RPG.
