Major problem

Everytime i try to load a saved campaign game i get CTD, by autosaves as well as manually saved ones. Any ideas of what could be causing them?

i could load saved games at first, but eventually i got a CTD when trying to load one and now i get a CTD whenever i try to load any saved game.

Although it is some time ago that someone wrote here, the problem seems to persist, at least for me. Are there any possibilities to solve the problem? Sometimes (but rarely) I'm able to load a game but in most cases I have a CTD. There is no error message, the loading screen proceeds normal till end and then CTD.

Try setting AUTOSAVE to FALSE in the preference file (C:\Program Files (x86)\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\preferences). And also delete ALL the save games in the savegame folder.
That fixed my CTD'S at least.

1. The ONLY CTD that ever happened to me with this version was at the very begining, when i tried to use one of the savegams, that comes with this mod. Then I just started my own campaign and everything works like a charm - few weeks of gaming and no problems at all.

2. Also - be sure to check your original RTW video preferences and unit size. Put them to normal. I think that if there is too major differance between RTW pref. and any mod pref., and you start any mod for the first time, CTD is likely to happend. This is the case for ANY mod, so no paticular faults with this one. If you want to play it - download and play it, don't be discouraged.

3. I used to have CTDs with the previous version when i fight against two of the orc units - "orcboy" and "boarboy". I suspect their meshes are taken directly from "Orks VS Humans" becouse the same thing happends when i've played it. HOWEVER - IT IS VERY LIKELY THAT MY OWN VIDEOCARD IS GIVING ME SOME TROUBLES AND THE MODS ARE JUST FINE!

I'm aware of this and changing the prefs was the first thing I did. For the sound was set mute and army size tiny and some other strange things.

It does indeed seem that the autosave feature is somehow corrupting savegames; turning it off is the solution.

I have had the same problem plus a couple of others.
Even after i turned off the autosave my saves kept becoming corrupted.
But I do have a High Elf and a Tomb Lords save that works perfectly while my attempts of making a Chaos save works works for 2 or 3 turns (After that it just breaks down sometimes at loading, sometimes when I press the "next turn button" and sometimes when I start a battle)
Can it be bound to some specific factions?

Id love all the help I can get because I love this mod and really want it to work 100%

My game seems to be crashing at pretty much every loading screen now, barely gets past the first loading screen when i start up the game

That's really weird. Have you tried rebooting your computer in case some temporary files have been corrupted or anything?

I downloaded the MOD, followed the instructions for installation. When I select the faction I want, and click to start the campaign, The game crashes. any ideas?

is your rome version 1.5, is it a clean installation (no modified files) and where did you install the mod.
