    Default Proposal: Lifting Thegsg's ban

Following heated discussion in the new members thread, it has been decided that a poll is in order to settle this issue.

Thegsg was originally banned for coming onto the server without meeting the requirements. It was later found out here that Nhy informed him of the rules and advised him to come to the forum first before logging onto the server, advice he ignored.

He has returned with the required 200 posts and now seeks re-admission to the server: a request challenged by some.

Personally, I was open to lifting it until Nhy came forward and informed us Thegsg had been previously informed of the potential dangers of bypassing the forum. Now, I am unsure: everyone does stupid things, and Nhy has said he was simply over-excited because he'd never been on SMP before. On the other hand, he was told to come here first and willfully ignored that.

As such, a vote: Yes, No or Abstain. Vote will close in 3 days.

    Edit: Specifics of his ban

Nhy gave Thegsg the server IP at school and informed him to first stop by the forum, as going to the server first was a bad idea. Thegsg ignored this and logged onto the server, whereupon he was banned. He then appears on the forum, learns of the 200 post rule, and proceeds to gain the 200 posts. He has now returned, wanting the ban lifted. The sticking point is: does ignoring Nhy about reading the rules and simply logging onto the server constitute an offence serious enough to keep him banned?
