Legionary First Cohort

Another, newbie question. This time it's about a unit type. I can't seem to get the unit "Legionary First Cohort" when i play as a roman faction, in the Imperial Campagin. Are they avalible within the imperial campaign? or, can you make them as a unit?

you have to keep playing until the marius reform starts

then you ll have a bunch of uber roman units unlocked =)

And you will also need to have Rome.

just for your informaton, the marian reform happens when u build an imperial palace in a city you own (may have to be an italian city but im not sure)

Legionary First Cohorts are only trainable in Rome.

Why not just build a full stack of Urbans anyway?

Is there any way for a unit to gain exp without havin to fight? I need to make loads of units, fast, to take Rome, and Scippii and Brutus are attacking me. Whenever I fight an equal army, their exp is like crazy and I lose.

temple of aries u can also make ur units better by building weaponsmiths and stuff and the retraining ur units

What I mean is, when i go into to creat a custom battle there are these legionary cohrots with the golden eagle in the top left/right hand corner, of the unit card, are they avalible within the imperial campaign? if so, how do you get them?

You can get them in the campaign, but they are only recruitable in Rome.

Marius reforms come after one imperial palace in Italy and probably at least 100 turns with patch 1.5.

I have gotten that unit type from a "Mission" that I completed. Also I just captured the "Golden Eagle" and has been taken into hiding in one of my cities , have yet to find out what that is ..
