once battle for the baltic comes out for 6.3, i'll probably make some sort of poll for that.
and ToD-hmmm, Switzerland as a faction could be quite interesting. but it seems that they would fit more in a late era campaign, from what little (very little) i know of Swiss history.

I see there are at least three fellow Norwegians here (or possibly swedes doing the best of a bad situation) but I voted myself for Lithuania. Pretty awesome units. If Norway had better archers I would go for them. Great starting location and history.
1. Novgorod
2. Poland
3. Hungary
Fighting Lithuania is a lot of fun. Usually right around the time I wipe them out the Tuetonic Order appears and kicks my ass for a while. As Novgorod you are pretty much fighting a war on two fronts with Lithuania and Cuman Khanate right away. As Poland you have to watch out for the HRE and Denmark. As Hungary you have to watch out for the HRE and the Romans. As Hungary or Poland you have two fairly easily accessible Crusade targets in Lithuania and the middle east.
Meneth,
Sadly I am not a Norwegian, but I do spend two weeks a year in the company of many of your countrymen and Swedes.
My favourite SS factions are Norway, Sweden & Denmark, I adore heavy infantry and these factions suit my love.

ofc the best choice is Grand Duchy Of Lithuania.
but i like to play france as well, dont know why but the starting poz is good and lots of space to expand
Long Live Lithuania( Grand Duchy Lithuania)
Oh, that's a tough decision!
I went with Kievan Rus. I just like their roster and their awesome textures.
Secondly, I would go For the Byzan...EASTERN Roman Empire (Thank you!). Also, I like their roster (Although it lacks good archers :/) and position between east and west.
Third option, would be the Moors. I HATE Catholic Spain![]()

1) There's about half a dozen Norwegians on the SS boards
2) Vikings are awesome
3) They have some of the best infantry in the game
4) Their position on the map is great
