man i wish we had things like this in Australia ....the most our redcoats ever did was gun down a few natives throwing boomerangs at them and its hardly politically correct to re-enact that!
The opponents facing us are from the 3rd New York Regiment which is also in the Mod. I am guessing we were also being outflanked or attacked suddenly from the woods to our left. The company is already well below company strength so there are probably 6- 8 mates on the ground off camera who were already gunned down previously.
The moment caught here is just seconds after the breakdown of unit cohesion. The sergeant is face down dead and the corporal is wounded. There is no real coordination and each man on his own is literally determining whether to fight or flee.
