Default Pre-Release of new version

Okay, I'll get this sorted properly with a big fancy release thread tomorrow, but as a reward for anyone who actually follows this subforum you can get the release a few hours early here:

http://exilian.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=43.0

As I say, full-fanfare thread up tomorrow morning. Hope you all enjoy the mod!

I get the error:

Filename does not exist
WHTW/data/models_engine/empire_mortor_high.cas

and when I hit OK it tells me:

Error creating engine outlines.

and then closes.

Sounds like it's been installed in the wrong place - can you give me a screenshot of your Rome - Total War folder in Windows explorer? Also, could you paste the exact text of the command line in the shortcut you're using?

I am using steam and put "-mod:WHTW" (no quotes) in the launch options (it worked for the previous version).

Aquila; check you don't have any download blockers, it works fine for me. Try using a different web browser, too, if you can.

Merkava; find an image upload site, that will give you a link which you can post here. I can't promise to be to helpful given that I don't have Steam, but I'll do my best to help.

Are you sure you haven't accidentally added a folder level when unzipping it? It should go

RTW folder/WHTW/Data
If it goes
RTW folder/WHTW/WHTW/Data
Then you just need to move everything up a level and it should work.

Also, did you delete your previous install of WHTW before putting the new one in if you had one? That could cause problems if you didn't.

Deleted old stuff and redownloaded WHTW and I am not getting a new error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime error!

Program: F:\...\Rome Total War Gold\RomeTW.exe

abnormal program termination

The visual studio just-in-time debugger says there was "an unhandled win32 exception ocurred in RomeTW.exe [4340].
