In the process of updating post to present new progress.
Like most of you I to found the remnants of this campaign that CA had left unfinished. I know that the 58bc mod covered part of this story, but it has always caught my imagination.
Campaign Map
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I have made the map using the BHD satalite data method so its pretty topographically accurate. The map below shows factions and starting regions.
Below are some screen shots of the map

DVK901...rivers and a few textures here and there.
Units
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
I want the units to be recruited on more of an AOR basis rather than a factional one. Caesar talks of three peoples of Gaul "the Belgae, the Aquitani and the people who call themselves celts". Each will have their own regions of recruitment and the ability to recruit different units (although there will be overlap). In addition Britannia and Germania will be distinct AOR's. The area of Aremorica will also offer some distinct units, although the people who inhabit this area are celts their contact with the peoples of Britannia means that I can make some overlap with British units.
So the first unit, all thus far are wip and I have yet to come up with discriptions.

Hey, if you want, i can dig up some stuff on gaul from an old project i was part of that died, De Bello Gallico, and can give you the research if interested.
For sure, that would be great. Any research would be very welcome
@Valkar
Not sure what I'm going to to with things like models. I might make it a sub mod for an existing mod, like EB for example that way all of the unit balancing stuff etc will be done.
Although I would like to see the units that you have made, maybe you could post some pics or have you got a thread already?
Perhaps i can help you a little as historian.
I have 2 good books, i believe there is help
Also knew a LOT about romans BEFORE times of augustus
Sry i dont know how tro add photo, but here is one map with his battles; http://www.concentric.net/~marlowe/caesar.shtml
Just ask me if needed to know something

Before the beginning of the final siege of Constantinople, Mehmed II made an offer to Constantine XI Palaiologos, the last Byzantine Emperor.
In exchange for the surrender of Constantinople, the emperor's life would be spared to which,he replied:
To surrender the city to you is beyond my authority or anyone else's who lives in it, for all of us, after taking the mutual decision, shall die out of free will without sparing our lives.
He died on the day the city fell.
His last recorded words were: "The city is fallen and I am still alive", and then he tore off his imperial clothes so as to let nothing to distinguish him from any other soldier and led his remaining soldiers into a last charge where he was killed.
Finally gave in and started reading the book myself. Think that the map is pretty much sorted.

As for units I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. Anyone who looks at my Carthage reloaded thread will know that Ive been working on a new higher poly base model. I was going to make like a Gallic Europa Barbarorum remodel pack, but I thought I might use them for this project. Ive been able to make a Gaesatae and Uirodusios type unit (will need to think of a new name for this unit)
So here are some screen shots (contains nudity)

I'm currently working on getting these boys some clothes
As soon as Ive finished them I'll post some screens
No there wont be any more. The scope of this mod is limited to a small geograph area and a small time frame. Ive pretty much exhausted my research on settlement names, and to be honest I dont think I'd add anymore anyway. I envisage this project to be more like the Alexander expansion than the RTW proper. On that note there are more regions in my map than on the Alex one
Thanks for the interest, hope you come back and have a look when Ive finished a few more units, hopefully I can convince you think its a worthwhile project
