This thread is strictly for previews regarding Dominion of Men. You can create your own screenshot thread, though, and I'm looking forward to it!
I read this so called Bible, and found it to be a third rate story in which this so called 'jesus' is nothing more than a shameless lampooning of Brian, which has inspired joy and laughter in millions.

There is any progress on battlemap buildings ? I heard a long time ago that maybe there will be new buildings in DoM, even if this aspect of the game isn't the most important.

I made some changes to building textures - or started making changes - vor cultural variety some months ago, but this is one of the aspects that we will deal with later, after more important matters have been dealt with (as you said).

Uhm, I think there's a screenshot thread somewhere around here.

Ouch, now I posted in the wrong thread. xD

Wow, I really like those! Especially the shields of Black Spears are awesome. Are those guys wearing masks?
The knights behind the bowmen, are these bodyguards?

Anyway, I think Dale is becoming my favourite faction. As it seems now I'll play them first. But I haven't seen the Elves yet.

The Black Spears, no, they don't wear masks. I guess the shadows are a bit too deep on their faces. I'll fix that. The knights behind the bowmen are the Dragonslyer Bodyguards. You will get a closer look at them in a preview this weekend.

Awesome work on the environments here!....particularly these: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...29#post9266529 wow!

How are you making your trees? They look so nice! Would you be open to letting us use some of these in RS2?

Hey Eorl, I wonder whether you'd be on for doing some swapping of ideas and textures? I've been working recently on some lighting updates for RS2 and I'm sure there are things we could learn/share from each other.

Here's some of the lighting changes I've been working on:

I thought I might share this with you:

I finally got the game to create puddles, pools and lakes in swamp terrain. The result of the translation by the engine is a bit rough, but it enables me to actually create custom tiles with lots of detail regarding the pools of water and other terrain features that work - units cannot be deployed into bodies of water, they move around it, or through it without drowning. Also, the water textures do not flicker, an unpleasant effect I encountered when I first tried to create the same effect by lowering the terrain of swamp tiles that didn't have water in them initially. Here's one such tile: Gladden Fields.

    Wow that's pretty amazing.

I'm interested to know how you're getting that really smooth transition between colours and so often you can see an underlying square pattern to the transitions between the different textures (or at least in my hands!!)
