Are you really annoyed by people showing interest in your mod?

Certainly not. In fact people's continued interest in FATW, despite the time it has taken to be released, is part of the 'fuel' that keeps me (and probably Eorl and Count) going.

But I am slightly frustrated when people act like they are owed the mod. Fortunately we get very few such posts in the public forums, but I do get a steady flow of PMs where people kindly inform me in varying intensity how much we suck for not having released it yet etc.

Not just yet, I'm afraid. The best total war mod ever requires an appropriately hefty amount of work before it's ready.

Well, I haven't logged in here in years, but I wanted to say that FATW was my first, and favorite Rome TW mod. If there's ever another release, I might have to reinstall Rome 1 just to try it out again! Thanks for working on it for so long.

I was wondering are the "wild men" ,who helped the rohirrim go around the wall of pellenoer (i forgot their name) ,going to be represented as merceneries ?

Probably not. The Druedain were hunted by the Rohirrim for some time, (although that ceased after Pelennor) but they seemed diminished at the time. It is probably safe to assume that they either vanished or went even more reclusive. It also fits in with the theme of all magic in Middle-Earth slowly fading.

There are plans to include Druedain in a very limited way, but it depends on our modelling department manpower.

I've use vanilla's velite gladiator model to get some not too bad results.

Is old Ghân described having one? Can't recall.

Maybe not 'potbellies' per se, but Tolkien described them as stumpy & squat, IIRC.

Great to hear that you guys are still working on this!

I'm sure its a huge time requirement, but I definitely appreciate that you guys are willing to take that time to ensure the mod is as great as the last FATW.

Just want to echo coinich and that even though I moved to Paradox Interactive games for historical reasons over RTW, I still have RTW BI on my parents computer at home and can't wait to play the new FATW, even though I haven't touched RTW in at least a year.
