same happened to me.i had a copy of ss 6.3 though.ss 6.4 installs on files of ss 6.3 not separate.6.4 didnt start on mine too and i dont know the reason

if u did not choose the folder where is your 6.3 in instal proces,mybe that made the game not to run...

Didnt get that part tonno
what i did was:
1. rename ss6.3 --> SS_hotseat_6.3
2. redirect the launchers to that file
3. install 6.4 (buth the question is , do i install it in the mods file(with all other mods) or in the renamed file?
4. 6.4 not working
5. removing 6.4
6. installing 6.4 in ss6.3 folder
7. FAIL
