They are first mentioned during the reign of Artaxerxes II, IIRC.
Will this mod use RS2 environment?
PS: would you be interested in a support skinner in undetermined future? ;]
I don't know - we'll really have to see how that looks with our units
(Same goes with ChivalryTW: I tried RSII environments, and it's ugly as hell in that mod. RS 1.6 feels a lot more "dark", and that might be what we need)
On the skinner part: why not? Everyone's welcome
Can't add more unit if there weren't more historically...
...but lucky you, there were
We're adding quite a few new AOR units + revised faction rosters.
Could not you add some newer horse skins with lances?
Looks great, but could you tell me, will you be changing building trees in EDB? And when you talk about 'revised unit rosters', how much difference does that mean--new skins/stats for old units or totally new units (I'm not referring to the currently nonplayable factions, but major factions like Persia)?
I am curious because I am working on a sub-mod which builds on ROP as it is on current release--just wondering how much will be changed to bring it up to date with 3.0.
Let us just say RoPIII is not a patch; the submod would have to be completely redone.
UI will be different, tech trees will be different, rosters will have revised and new units, etc, etc.
So 3.0 will almost be an entirely new mod?
a late campaign, with Persia already as an empire and at war with Athens and Sparta...start date is 490 BC right where the main campaign leaves off. I am using BI.exe so factions can re emerge and horde and the AI will use naval invasions a lot...with a bunch of scripted revolts in the empire to make things more difficult... among other things. mostly for people who want to play Greco-Persian Wars, I am trying to balance it so it is difficult for every faction.. not easy.
I'd not got as far as calling anyone a troll; I just hope you understand my (and the other people's) point
