It's great to see that RoP is alive and kicking. I've always had a soft spot for Kemet, as Egypt was my favourite faction in vanilla, but at least here it is done properly as well. And who can't fail to love chariots decked out with parasols.

I can't think of a reason why anyone'd like egypt in vanilla...
Not like it's the strongest faction or anything...

Probably because its the only faction of the game with the most ancient of units in its roster..
I myself love their light chariots.

    They are completely ahistorical.

Heck, they aren't historical even for Rameses the II's time

They would be slightly more historical if they didn't use sarissas

Yeah but it's as close as we can get. I know that their units are mostly fantasy, but at else do we have? I would love a mod around the time of the New Kingdom of Egypt, but there is none. That's one of the reasons I love this mod, because we can play with ancient Egyptian armies.

Yes we know its ahistorical but what we meant why we like the faction is because of the feeling it gives..

No idea; it must have been stored like that by one of the programs I took them through.
Why would we need to change the extension anyway, except for quality, which isn't that much of an issue here?

Probably yes; we'll (most probably) give them their own unit roster.

    Please do 3 things:
    1. Give the chariots sickles!
    2. Take the axe-unit of vanilla RTW-Egypth and put into the pool of Kemet
    3. Fix such stupid bugs, that after -always - 3-50 the game crashes and your savegame is - more or less - destroyed. (I have 5 of such savegames with Macedonia, Kemet, Mada, Parsa and Bablu!)

    1. Scythed chariots weren't invented yet.
    2. They did have axemen, but vanilla units still suck.
    3. They are probably working on it.

I'd love to do so, but as long as the reincarnation of Ahura Mazda (*Rez*) doesn't give us permission because it's unhistorical, we won't do it. And that's the case with 2 of your points. As for the third one; that was probably an error in the script, but we've rebuild everything from scratch, so if there will be more problems, we'll try to fix them in beta.

Nice preview. RoP is one of my favourites. Happy to see it undergoes some updates
    And many greetings to Nero666.

Btw. info for the TWC newbies, as for dev forum existence (one poster mentioned it): RoP is one of the oldest quality RTW mods, as is ChivTW. Afaik, it is not relevant for a public or dev forum existence on TWC, how much team members are active in such a modding project - those mods got their forum because of mod development quality; and at that time as the mod projects got their forum, the team members in those projects were usually more numerous, except some rare 1 or 2 men shows.

    @Bull3pr00f:

Ahura Mazda never died, so no reincarnation.

He could be reincarnation of Mithra, Mazda's son, though.
