    I went to the public library yesterday and I begin to research the Anatolian Seljuk/Ottoman history. I found very useful informations about them.

    I am curious about the flag. It is remarkably similar to actual Seljuks flag and so far there was not one flag attributed only to Seljuks or Turks but virtually any CoA I have seen was attributed to both in various sources.

    Well the Anatolian Sejuks were from the same family. The double-headed eagle was orignally a Hittite symbol later adopted by the Persians and Romans. The Seljuks started using it in architecture after conquering Persia.

    I don't think it was a CoA in the European sense. Seljuk rulers probably had tamgas.

    The Seljuks started using it in architecture after conquering Persia.
    One of the many, many examples of the Persianisation of the Seljuq Turks.
