Battle Loading Screen Error-CTD

Im asking because after I reinstalled everything into the creative Assembly folder, it still said "cant find steam" when i tried to start the game using the shortcut

I really don't know how steam works, but I'm guessing you should run from the RTW exe rather than a short cut.
Make sure you add 300 to the target line as stated in the install instructions.

I use steam because it was cheap and easy. But I found my old Rome cd's in a box and used them recently

i dl'd the mod and installed as stated, got the "cant find steam" tryed the command line, and game ctd's every time i try to launch... any suggestions?

i reinstalled the non movie version of the mod, added the command line to alexander and it worked. gotta get the ss program working, did a custom last night at thermopyle all other teams persian, and fully loaded 6 spartan generals guard, xp'd weapons and armor. battle count was 340 spartans, roughly 17000 persians, well it was a long shot.... and finally the retreat was sounded with 14000 dead persians, the spartans held the field.. LMAO this mod kicks ass

only one thing kinda disappointed me..... when i did thermop..... No phalanx special ability. i love all the work youve done halie, but figured youd include the phalanx that is why the spartans held as long as they did. other than that, awesome work!

I used (and edited) Signifer one's animations for the classic version (the one you've installed) , the Greeks all use an overhand animation which wouldn't work if the phalanx ability was activated. However if you go close in and watch the hoplites they should fight in a phalanx style anyway, they look pretty awesome when they charge..

Look through this thread and the release thread to see if some had and fixed the same issue. I can give you pointers if I know a bit more about your set up (windows version?) .. ultimately we know this mod works so it has to be a problem with how you've installed it.

Rather than making me guess can you tell me what happened, did you crash to desk top, what version of RTW you have, did you get any err msg???

The battle of Thermopylae was loading then it crashes to the desktop.....

I'd actually got that from your first post. I really can't help without more info, even then it may be beyond my fading memory, making me guess is not going to get you very far.
