    Well, if you mean with small that the map stretches from Iberia to Asia Minor rather than to Caspian Sea like RTW does, then yes, it's a bit smaller... However in reality the actual map is almost four times bigger than the RTW map:

    That while the VII map has far more detail (as you can see in the image above, the VII map is made up of many small dots, while the RTW map is made up of larger spatters). And it on top of that has more regions than RTW has (198). So in that sense, the RTR VII map isn't smaller at all!

    Geographically the map covers a smaller area than say RTR 6.0. However, the map is actually much much bigger that RTR 6's, and the level of detail and historically accuracy we have been able to achieve is unsurpassed to date.
    Take a look at Preview one if you want more info on the map.
