I'm not that big a fan of hip hop or rap per se, but I do enjoy the local stuff.
In the Bay where they go stupid dumb and hyphy.
I'm also a big fan of The Roots, Q-Tip (the old Tribe stuff was dope), OutKast, you know the good stuff that sounds original.

Proably been posted, but I'm listening to them now. I'm quite new to Hip hop, and while I have been listening to Cypress Hill for a while now I have only really just started getting into Nas
Under the Patronage of Jom!
I've been listening to Louis Logic a lot recently. I really like his flow and recommend him. What's very amusing is how a lot of his songs are stories.

One of the singles off of what I consider to be one of the finest albums ever made. Not just hip hop/rap, but best albums period. Man the mid to late 90's were good for hip hop, it was hard not to listen to it. Mainstream is terrible now. So glad the poets aren't involved in the endless cycle of frivolous cookie cutter hip hop that we have now.
yeah this one of the best threads in TWC
some black gangsta rap for all of you...

A bit of a gratuitous bump here, I've been binging on ATCQ and Atmosphere lately so thought why not share some?
