Windows 7 question, needing help

Hello, I have a new computer, with windows 7. just now learning my way around, but one option I'm having alot of problems with.
In the past with XP, if I wanted to post a screen shot, I clicked shift prt sc....no problem from there.

now when I do this, I literally get a screen shot of my desktop screen.

This has effectively shut me down from being able to post up a few awesome in battle shots I had.

Also, If you can help, is there a tutorial on the forum for posting videos?

I have an absolutely awesome save of a naval battle I wanted to share, but the format on youtube is uncompatible. I tried a converter to no avail (perhaps a different one is better?)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just use PrtScr, no shift, and let me know what it does!

As for videos, I would upload them to youtube and link them!

yup, same thing, when i go to piant and paste, it pastes my desktop, even though i pressed the prt sc while in game...hmm.
im stumped. thank you though.

Start using Fraps!

It is free and you can take MULTIPLE screenshots without exiting the game or tabbing out.

Just hit F10 while in game and viola! Drops a screenshot to your fraps folder. You can even tell it where to save them!

well sir, i downloaded fraps, and when i try to open it, it says i need directx9.0c..i checked my dxdiag, and i have directx11. i went to microsoft and tried to download direct x 9.0c, yet it would not. it said my version was up to date and would not install. cripes lol. is there a way to get my system to run in dx9 mode? sorry if im a pain. i appreciate your help.
