Ah, but then I like your 2TPY having a slower building time and unit pool refreshment rate.

Ofc, but having two versions would be roughly 1 minute extra work, while making it appeal to a much larger audience.

Good point, very good point. I will update the top and say I will do both.

I would like to borrow large chunks of your 2TPY mods and use them as the skeleton, if that is alright with you. Of course I would give credit to you and the SS crew and such, I just mainly think you have a great basis for it, and the starting regions and forces and relations (A crapton of work still) would be the focus of my attention.

I think your Copyright/freedom of use is already giving me a green light, but nontheless I would like an explicit "yes" from you, once I start the project.

Now do I also need to PM Gracul and King Kong or any other member as well, since this will be running off of SS6.3? I plan on listing everyone for the credits, I just need the permission (And figure out who and what I need it from).

    You have my permission, ofc.
King Kong has given Gracul control of SS, so he's completely out of the picture. Since there is a sub-mod forum here, sub-mods are automatically allowed, though crediting "everyone who worked on SS" is usually good form

A 1350 campaign would be awesome, especially since it could show Europe in the aftermath of the Black Death. It could do a good job of reflecting the Hundred Years War in the West, that much I'm sure. It'd also be nice to see the Turks on the offensive, the Byzantines in decline, and the Crusaders as Kings of Cyprus rather than Jerusalem. Oh the possibilities!

Have the start date at least after the Timurids invade, then they can be playable!

Also make sure to rename the Seljuks as the Ottoman Empire if you choose a start date at or above 1299. Maybe even change their colours to red with a white border.

Unless something changes, it looks like the HEC will be set in 1370 to appease the Timurid Players, as well as providing a chance to still recover from the black plague.

in my opinion, High Era should start before 'The Black Death'.

Then we have to go through the game's bad portrayal of the Black Death.
    Should really be avoided IMO.

I think High Era should start around 1352-1354, just after The Black Death.
I don't care about playable Timurids.

Europe in 1370 and then in 1400... biggest changes are in Balkans and Persia where Ottomans conquest Balkans and Timurids emerge in the east. Some other smaller changes as well... trade by 1400 has nearly completely recovered while closer to Black Death trade routes and populations are much less recovered so in terms of gameplay starting development of some trade buildings and populations closer to Black Death would be lower.

Between 1390 and 1415 there is a lull in 100 years war as well... with internal strife in both England and France, rebellions, etc.

Also the choice of how to depict the Union of Kalmar if start date is later than 1400. Poland and Lithuania could be separate or merged as well depending on start date. Later start dates also encourage Bohemia to be separate from HRE.
